Started on August 30, the National Exhibition and Fair Center located in Dong Anh district (Hanoi) invested by Vingroup Corporation is identified as one of the key projects.
Government and Hanoi City leaders pressed the button to start construction.
The project has a scale of up to 90 hectares, in the top 10 largest exhibition centers in the world to date, located right at the Northeast gateway of Hanoi, which is considered the "door to the world" of the capital as well as the entire northern region.
From this coordinate, it only takes 15 minutes to get to Noi Bai International Airport, 5 minutes to Hoan Kiem and Tay Ho districts via the Tu Lien bridge under construction. The project is also adjacent to the future metro line connecting Dong Anh with other locations throughout the city. Currently, the project is conveniently connected to the center of the capital via the extended National Highway 5, Truong Sa Street and Dong Tru and Nhat Tan bridges.
The project has a prime location, the center of important traffic arteries to the provinces including planned roads, airways and metro.
"Today, when Vietnam is strongly integrating into the international economy, Dong Anh continues to play an important role as the northern gateway of the capital Hanoi. And in the future, with the presence of a world-class National Exhibition and Fair Center, Dong Anh will not only be the development center of the Red River Delta, but also a new growth engine of the whole country, an attractive destination for businesses and tourists from all over the world," an economic expert assessed.
The architecture of the National Exhibition Center bears the image of the Golden Turtle God in the Co Loa legend.
The National Exhibition Center also carries the cultural depth of the whole land thanks to its design bearing the image of the Golden Turtle God. The exhibition space is built under the solid Golden Turtle God's shell, divided into 9 sub-areas with an area of over 10,000m2/sub-area and a main hall of over 7,000m2.
Supporting the indoor exhibition space are modernly equipped functional facilities such as reception rooms, conference rooms, restaurants, etc. to meet the needs of organizing exhibitions in all fields and industries.
In Eastern culture, the turtle is one of the symbols of stability and longevity. The Golden Turtle God is also associated with the legend of protecting the "sacred land of talented people" Co Loa, Dong Anh.
The key to unlocking the "gold mine" worth hundreds of billions of dollars
In conjunction with the National Exhibition Center project are four outdoor exhibition parks that can simultaneously host many types of events, including displays, exhibitions, festivals, and large-scale cultural and artistic events.
The National Exhibition and Fair Center in Dong Anh owns an open space imbued with the spirit of integration, built according to modern Expo models around the world.
With a total outdoor exhibition space of up to 20.6 hectares, this is also the second largest outdoor exhibition center in the world and the largest in Asia to date, according to the investor's survey.
Dong Anh is expected to become the "capital" of regional and international fairs and exhibitions.
As a national key project in the field of trade and services, this project is also expected to initiate the Expo economic model in Vietnam. The project is considered the key for Vietnam to open up the "gold mine" of over 300 billion USD/year of the global exhibition industry.
With a series of unique advantages and a "huge" scale, when completed and put into operation, the National Exhibition and Fair Center promises to be a new symbol of development for the Capital. This is also an important bridge for global businesses and countries to increase meetings, expand trade opportunities, and contribute to raising Vietnam's position on the world economic map.
