Having been with the Company since the early days of Nghi Son 1 Thermal Power Plant, Mr. Dau Truong Lam is an energetic, enthusiastic, creative engineer, dedicated to his work. Thanks to that, engineer Lam has achieved many achievements, titles, and certificates of merit from Power Generation Corporation 1 for technical innovation and scientific research initiatives over many years.

As the Head of the Software Team, Automatic Electrical Repair Workshop, engineer Lam directly organizes, manages, and arranges human resources in the team to carry out maintenance, repair, and overhaul of the entire control and monitoring system in the factory, while conducting scientific research and applying the trends of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution.

Since 2018, engineer Lam and his colleagues have had outstanding solutions and achievements that have been recognized and rewarded by the Company, such as: Proposing solutions, programming logic and implementing additional circuits to stop the generator when the circulating pumps fail, helping to protect the safety of the equipment; Restoring and repairing the Hydro production system of branch B, putting it into operation, increasing the system's redundancy; Adjusting the control coefficient of coal loading crane No. 2 to fix the error of the motor reducer closing and opening the bucket.

In the period of 2019 - 2020, engineer Dau Truong Lam began to focus on researching the application of digital transformation in production operations, with the success being the "Solution to replace control cables at pile beaters and pile breakers with industrial wireless communication networks".

The solution has completely resolved the problem of repeated movements between cable reels causing the fiber optic cables and communication cables between pile breakers, pile breakers, and the central fuel control system to break down, which previously cost the factory a lot of money and labor to repair and replace hundreds of meters of damaged cables.

Continuing the achievements, in 2021 - 2022, engineer Lam continued to learn and develop to improve his professional qualifications, from which he was trusted by Power Generation Corporation 1 to assign the task of "Researching and designing an online monitoring system for boiler and turbine performance of Thermal Power Plants under the Corporation", with the role of being in charge of the implementation at Nghi Son Thermal Power Company.

With a high sense of responsibility and creativity, engineer Dau Truong Lam and the project team have researched and built online performance calculation software day and night, which can automatically update data continuously from the Main DCS system (the main control system of the factory) and automatically calculate and give results of furnace and turbine performance, displayed on a modern and intuitive interface. From there, the factory has directions for adjusting and increasing the efficiency of the unit.

In addition, due to the problems with the management and operation of raw water and reused water supply systems located far from the center of the factory, he invested time and boldly researched and applied digital transformation to come up with a solution: "Research on controlling and monitoring raw water and reused water supply systems using SCADA on a web platform at Nghi Son 1 Thermal Power Plant".

With the constant encouragement of the Company's Board of Directors, by the first quarter of 2023, engineer Lam had successfully installed and tested the remote control on the Webserver for the reused water system, and is continuing to improve the raw water system. It promises to bring many benefits and efficiency in production activities.

In addition to completing assigned tasks, engineer Lam also inspires team members, thanks to which the software team is always at the forefront of innovation, initiative, and scientific research. These innovations and initiatives are very practical and bring high efficiency in work, always appreciated by users and the Company.
