Record school with most contestants reaching the final round of Road to Olympia

To prepare for this event, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province coordinated with Vietnam Television (VTV3) to carefully prepare facilities and conditions to ensure the program is absolutely safe, disciplined, highly educational, and spread the program's values and messages to students and the people.

This is also an opportunity to promote the image, people, tradition of studiousness, culture and history of Thua Thien Hue province on Vietnam Television. Therefore, in addition to the performance introducing the unique musical features and Hue's tradition of examinations to audiences nationwide, the program also promotes the image and tourism of Hue during the filming of contestants' reports and intercut scenes.

In the second quarter with a total score of 290, Nguyen Minh Triet (Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted in Hue) excellently brought the 23rd Road to Olympia Finals to Thua Thien Hue province.

With the victory in this quarter's round, Nguyen Minh Triet helped Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted set a record as the school with the most contestants entering the annual finals of Road to Olympia with 6 times.

Previously, 5 other outstanding faces left their mark on the hearts of television viewers: Nguyen Nguyen Thai Bao (2005), Nguyen Manh Tan (2008), Ho Ngoc Han (2009), Thai Ngoc Huy (2011) and Ho Dac Thanh Chuong (2016).

Not only that, Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted is also one of the three schools that set a record by having two Olympia Champions, namely contestants Ho Ngoc Han (9th year) and Ho Dac Thanh Chuong (16th year).

Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted is where President Ho Chi Minh spent years studying and participating in patriotic movements in the early 20th century. And from there, the foundation was laid for him to decide to leave to find a way to save the country in 1911.

In particular, on December 31, 2020, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 2280/QD-TTg ranking Hue National High School for the Gifted as a special national historical relic.
