Discipline teacher who beat student's cheek in Dak Lak

On the evening of December 17, Ms. Ho Thi Tinh, Principal of the International Primary School (Tan Loi Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City) said that the school's Disciplinary Council had just held a meeting to consider disciplining teacher NMT (26 years old) for beating a third grade student. The school also decided to cut all of Ms. NMT's emulation in the 2024-2025 school year and not consider raising her salary in the next term.

"Teacher T. will have one month to challenge herself. During this time, if she does not change, the school will force her to quit her job ," said the female principal. Whether it is intentional or unintentional, insulting the honor or body of a student will be strictly handled by the school.

In her self-criticism, teacher NMT admitted that on December 16, while teaching, she used a flexible ruler to hit a student’s hand. However, while hitting the student, he leaned down and the ruler hit his cheek. The teacher then tried to contact the student’s parents to apologize.

The student's parents took a picture of their child's bruised face and sent it to the class group and requested that the school's Board of Directors take disciplinary action.

Previously, on October 21, in Buon Ma Thuot City, a second grade student at Nguyen Binh Khiem Private Primary School was beaten by a teacher, causing bruises on her back. Immediately after that, the Department of Education and Training of Buon Ma Thuot City inspected, verified, clarified the incident and issued a decision to suspend the female teacher for 3 months for the above behavior.
