Disciplinary warning for teacher who beat 6th grade student, leaving both legs bruised

On November 29, Mr. Nguyen Huu Sau - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province - confirmed that Le Quy Don Secondary School had decided to give a disciplinary warning to Ms. TTE - the teacher who beat a student, leaving both legs bruised.

According to Mr. Sau, after the incident, Ms. E. wrote a self-criticism, accepting the disciplinary action of reprimand. However, the school's disciplinary committee of 5 members analyzed many aspects, minor and major, of the teacher, and then all 5 members unanimously voted for the disciplinary action of warning.

As reported by VTC News, the incident of Ms. E. beating a 6th grade male student occurred on November 12. At noon on November 13, because of the teacher's actions, the male student's family posted an article on Facebook, along with a photo of the male student's bruised legs.

The boy's family said that at first he refused to talk because he was afraid of having his conduct grade lowered. After his family persuaded him, he told them about being beaten by the teacher after gym class.

"The incident happened after the male student got into a fight with his friend. When working with the female teacher, she also admitted to using a small ruler to hit the student's leg," said Mr. Le Van Tam, Principal of Le Quy Don Secondary School.
