Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Becamex IDC Corporation, emphasized that the partnership between Becamex IDC and the Fraunhofer Institute for Electronic Nanosystems ENAS is the basis for connecting scientists and researchers from the Fraunhofer Institute and European institutes. This is the basis for establishing a research center following the Fraunhofer innovation platform model - a model that optimizes flexibility and cooperation.

This cooperation will lay a solid foundation for Vietnam's participation in the global semiconductor value chain, contributing to the development of new technology industries with high added value, meeting the requirements of trends in the new development stage.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Becamex IDC Corporation, spoke at the signing ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Professor Dr. Harald Kuhn, Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Electronic Nanosystems ENAS, said that semiconductors are very important for innovation, especially when looking for investment opportunities in smart mobility, aerospace, and smart factories. Microelectronics is a catalyst for the development of these high technologies. A microelectronics research institute is fundamental to creating conditions for businesses to invest. Therefore, the Microelectronics Center will be an important step forward to bring large corporations in this field to Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular.

Professor Dr. Harald Kuhn, Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Electronic Nanosystems ENAS, spoke at the ceremony.

This cooperation mainly builds and develops two main pillars: management and science. During this phase, Fraunhofer will conduct a comprehensive feasibility study and develop an overall strategy focusing on the semiconductor microelectronics sector in Vietnam.
