Signing of cooperation between Vietnam Railway Corporation and Ninh Binh Tourism Industry

On the afternoon of July 8, the Department of Tourism, the Ninh Binh Provincial Tourism Association coordinated with Vietnam Railways Corporation to organize a cooperation signing program for the period 2024-2030. Comrade Tran Song Tung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the conference.

Also attending were representatives of the Provincial People's Committee Office; leaders and former leaders of the Department of Tourism ; representatives of Vietnam Railways Corporation; Tourism Association and tourism service businesses in the province.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Tran Song Tung, member of the Standing Committee The Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Ninh Binh is a land with great potential and advantages for tourism development. Located at the intersection of the Northwest mountainous region, the Red River Delta and the North Central Coast, it is blessed by nature with many rich and unique natural landscapes with many famous landscapes, along with over 1,820 historical and cultural relics, creating unique and attractive tourist areas and destinations.

With a consistent strategy of developing green and sustainable tourism; respecting natural values, cultural history and a methodical approach, Ninh Binh is affirming its position day by day, becoming a favorite destination for domestic and foreign tourists. In 2023, Ninh Binh province ranked 6th nationwide in terms of the number of tourists. In the first 6 months of 2024, the number of visitors to Ninh Binh is estimated at over 6.28 million, including over 500,000 international visitors, an increase of 38% over the same period last year. Tourism revenue is estimated at over 6,000 billion VND, more than 1.5 times higher than the same period last year.

In particular, with its own unique natural beauty, Ninh Binh has been ranked high in the voting lists of many prestigious international travel sites many times by domestic and international organizations. Most recently, Ninh Binh entered the "Top 10 most attractive experiences in the world in 2024".

Expressing his joy and welcoming the cooperation between Vietnam Railways Corporation and Ninh Binh Tourism, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that this is an important event contributing to improving the quality and scale of Ninh Binh Tourism. The cooperation with Vietnam Railways Corporation will contribute to increasing the number of tourists to Ninh Binh, creating favorable conditions for tourists from other provinces and cities to come to Ninh Binh; the experience of traveling from Ninh Binh by rail will contribute to promoting the destination of Ninh Binh associated with the image of Vietnam Railways, building stimulus programs, attracting tourists by rail from other provinces and cities across the country to Ninh Binh and vice versa. At the same time, it will further strengthen the cooperative relationship and mutual support between Vietnam Railways Corporation and Ninh Binh Tourism as well as the Provincial People's Committee.

He also emphasized that Ninh Binh province is very interested in expanding opportunities for tourists to access and explore the beauty of Ninh Binh conveniently and safely; committed to closely cooperating to build unique, sustainable tourism programs and promote development for both sides. The combination of the natural beauty of Ninh Binh and the professionalism and safety of the railway system will create memorable experiences for tourists.

On the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Tourism Industry (July 9, 1960 - July 9, 2024), on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee, Comrade Tran Song Tung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented a beautiful flower basket and best wishes to all cadres, employees, and workers who have been and are working in the Ninh Binh tourism industry. At the same time, he wished the Railway industry to continue to innovate, be creative, and contribute to the development of the country.

At the conference, leaders of the Department of Tourism and representatives of Vietnam Railways Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the 2024-2030 period. The signing program will contribute to increasing the number of tourists to Ninh Binh, creating favorable conditions for domestic and international visitors from the Northern and Southern provinces to come and go from Ninh Binh by rail. At the same time, coordinate in marketing Ninh Binh tourist destinations; create conditions to promote tourism service businesses to build new tours by rail transport.
