On July 14, the People's Council of Bac Ninh city, term XXII, 2021-2026, held the 10th session to assess the socio-economic development situation in the first 6 months of the year; directions and solutions to implement tasks in the last 6 months of 2023 and consider and decide on a number of important contents.

Attending and directing the meeting were comrades: Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Thi Hang, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ta Dang Doan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Bac Ninh City Party Committee.
In the first 6 months of the year, in the context of continuing difficulties, with great efforts and determination, Bac Ninh city has effectively implemented the annual working theme "Strengthening Party building and a strong political system; focusing on developing multi-utility trade and services; investing in developing urban and cultural infrastructure" and 3 political resolutions; continuing to maintain stability, maintaining a number of basic indicators. Retail sales of goods and services are estimated at VND 21,578.6 billion, reaching 53.6% of the plan, up 25.3% over the same period in 2022 (accounting for 44% of the total value of the province). Urban, land and public investment management have been strengthened; site clearance for Nhu Nguyet bridge has been completed; site clearance for Ring Road 4 has been highly focused (exceeding the plan for the June 30 deadline) and key projects in the area.

Attention was paid to the cultural and social fields; many cultural, artistic and sports activities were organized; social security was ensured. Local defense and military work was well implemented; 100% of military recruitment targets were completed. Political security and social order and safety were maintained; Resolution No. 87 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on building a "Traffic Safety Province" was effectively implemented. Judicial work, investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgments were strengthened, closely and effectively coordinated. In the last 6 months of the year, Bac Ninh city continues to focus on directing, operating, and synchronously deploying solutions to effectively implement the year's work theme, striving to fulfill 3 political resolutions and complete the set targets and tasks at the highest level.
At the meeting, the People's Council of Bac Ninh city dismissed 1 member of the City People's Committee (retired according to the regime), elected 1 additional member of the City People's Committee for the 2020-2025 term and approved many other important contents.
Secretary of the Bac Ninh City Party Committee Ta Dang Doan requested the City People's Council delegates to continue to closely monitor and supervise the implementation of the Resolutions approved by the City People's Council; based on the work program of the City Party Committee to specify, closely coordinate with the City People's Committee to ensure planning, improve the quality of meetings, effectiveness and efficiency of the approved Resolutions. Thereby, contributing to the effective implementation of tasks and solutions for socio-economic development, creating the premise and motivation to complete the targets and tasks in 2023 and the following years.
