On December 13, the People's Council of Yen Khanh district, term XV, 2021-2026, held the 15th session, the regular year-end session.

At the meeting, delegates listened to a report on the implementation of the 2023 socio-economic development plan, the direction and tasks of socio-economic development in 2024 of the district; a report on the results of the work in 2023 of the Standing Committee of the District People's Council, and the direction and tasks in 2024.

Accordingly, in 2023, closely following the leadership and direction of the Provincial People's Committee and the District Party Committee; the attention and coordination of the Standing Committee of the District People's Council, together with the solidarity, determination and efforts of all levels, sectors, economic sectors and cadres and people in the district, the District People's Committee has focused on leadership and direction to achieve comprehensive results in all fields, 9/9 targets achieved and exceeded the plan.

In particular, agricultural production had a good harvest; the value of crop and aquaculture products increased by 1.17 million VND/ha compared to the same period in 2022. Industrial production, trade and services maintained growth rate, state budget revenue reached 121.01% of the plan assigned by the province.

The National Target Program on New Rural Construction has been focused on and directed resolutely, achieving outstanding results. Yen Khanh district has completed 9/9 advanced NTM criteria, and proposed the Central Government to recognize the district as meeting advanced NTM standards in 2023.

The management of construction investment, land, environment, and site clearance continues to be strengthened. There has been much progress in social culture; social security is ensured. The work of government building, state management, administrative reform, and the prevention and fight against corruption and negativity has been focused on. Local defense and military work has been strengthened; political security has been maintained, and social order and safety have been ensured.

In 2023, the activities of the District People's Council achieved many remarkable results. In particular: The District People's Council issued resolutions and organized the supervision of their implementation. Closely coordinated with the People's Committee, the District Fatherland Front Committee and relevant units to successfully organize the District People's Council meetings. Proactively coordinated with the District People's Committee to effectively implement tasks under its authority. Supervision and survey activities were strengthened. Activities of meeting voters, receiving citizens, receiving and handling complaints and denunciations of citizens were carried out seriously. The work of monitoring and supervising the settlement and response to voters' opinions and recommendations was directed to be implemented drastically and effectively... thereby contributing positively to the socio-economic development and ensuring national security and defense of the district.

At the meeting, the District People's Council listened to and considered reports of the District People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Report on work in 2023, directions and tasks in 2024 of the District People's Court; Report on crime prevention and control and law violations in 2023, directions and tasks in 2024.

At the same time, give opinions on the reports on: allocating the district budget in 2024; deciding on the public investment plan in 2024; adjusting the medium-term public investment plan of the district budget capital source for the period 2021-2025; establishing a specialized supervision delegation of the District People's Council on "Implementing the Project on building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas in Yen Khanh district, period 2021-2025"...

During the meeting agenda, the District People's Council also carried out the process of taking a vote of confidence for those holding positions elected by the District People's Council; discussing, questioning and answering questions; and voting to pass resolutions of the meeting.

The 15th session of the People's Council of Yen Khanh district, term XV, took place in 1.5 days (December 13-14).
