The 21st meeting of Tri Ton District People's Council passed many important contents.

At the meeting, the delegates of the District People's Council unanimously passed a Resolution to dismiss Mr. Cao Quang Liem from the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Tri Ton district, term XII, 2021 - 2026 due to retirement; Resolution to dismiss Mr. Kha Truong Vung from the position of delegate of the People's Council of Tri Ton district due to job transfer, no longer in the locality; Resolution to dismiss 3 members of the District People's Committee due to job transfer. The delegates also voted to pass 8 resolutions related to adjusting and supplementing the medium-term public investment capital plan for the period 2021 - 2025 and 2025 from the local budget; Capital, detailed list of projects using public investment capital plans from central and local budgets to implement 3 national target programs on sustainable poverty reduction, new rural construction, socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021 - 2025 and 2025 in the district.

Vote to dismiss, cease to be a delegate of Tri Ton District People's Council

In particular, the delegates unanimously voted for two resolutions related to the arrangement of administrative units, including: Resolution approving the policy of merging the entire area and population of Kien Giang and An Giang provinces to establish An Giang province; Resolution approving the policy of arranging commune-level administrative units in Tri Ton district.

Presenting flowers to People's Council delegates who have been dismissed or have ceased to perform their duties

Specifically, establish 5 new communes, including: establish Ba Chuc Commune on the basis of merging the entire area and population of Ba Chuc town, Lac Quoi and Le Tri communes, total area of ^{​​70.94km2} , population of 32,071 people.

Establish Tri Ton commune on the basis of merging the area and population of Tri Ton town, Nui To commune, Chau Lang commune, area ^73.14km2 , population 50,716 people.

Establish Tri Ton Tay commune on the basis of merging the area and population of An Tuc commune, O Lam commune, Luong Phi commune, area ^99.52km2 , population 37,429 people.

Establish Co To commune on the basis of merging the area and population of Co To town, Tan Tuyen commune, Ta Danh commune, area ^176.75km2 , population 31,278 people.

Establish Vinh Gia commune on the basis of merging Vinh Gia commune, Luong An Tra commune, Vinh Phuoc commune, area 37km2, population 20,902 people.
