To improve the efficiency of managing, using, and exploiting ginseng root products and processed ginseng products associated with the geographical indication "Ngoc Linh" and the certification mark "Ngoc Linh Kon Tum Ginseng," the People's Committee of Kon Tum province requests relevant agencies to strictly manage the seeds, planting techniques, care, harvesting, preservation, processing, and consumption of Ngoc Linh Kon Tum ginseng.
Inspect, examine, and strictly handle, in accordance with the law, organizations and individuals producing and trading ginseng seeds (seedlings, seedlings) of unknown origin, ginseng roots, and processed products from Ngoc Linh ginseng roots that have not been granted the right to use or violate the right to use the geographical indication "Ngoc Linh" and the certification mark "Ngoc Linh Kon Tum Ginseng".
The police, market management authorities, district People's Committee, Department of Science and Technology, etc., have implemented administrative solutions and measures to manage the entire process from input to output of Kon Tum Ngoc Linh ginseng products. This aims to protect the reputation, quality, and brand of Kon Tum Ngoc Linh ginseng, strengthen trust, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of producers and consumers of Kon Tum Ngoc Linh ginseng.
With nearly 1,800 hectares of Ngoc Linh ginseng planted in the two districts of Tu Mo Rong and Dak Glei, Kon Tum currently has the largest area of Ngoc Linh ginseng in the country. Each year, Kon Tum has the capacity to supply more than 1 million seedlings to the people.
Currently, the majority of Ngoc Linh ginseng harvested and sold on the market is naturally grown on the mountains. Therefore, conservation efforts face many difficulties.
