Kon Tum grants investment policy for Kon Plong Wind Power Plant Project worth 3,500 billion VND

Kon Plong Wind Power Plant project has a capacity of 103.5 MW, with a total estimated investment of 3,500 billion VND.

The Party Executive Committee of Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee has just reported to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on the implementation of the Kon Plong Wind Power Plant Project. According to the report, the Kon Plong Wind Power Plant Project has been decided by the Provincial People's Committee on investment policy for the investor, Kon Plong Wind Energy Company Limited, to be implemented in Mang Den town and Mang Canh commune, Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province.

The total area of the project is expected to use 66.04 hectares (of which, the land area with a term of use is 36.04 hectares; the temporary land area is 30 hectares) with a total project investment of about 3,500 billion VND.

Regarding the implementation progress, the Kon Plong Wind Power Plant Project is completing the Feasibility Study Report for Construction Investment and conducting the basic design review. The Kon Plong Wind Power Plant Project has a capacity of 103.5 MW and is a level I energy project. The Feasibility Study Report for Construction Investment is appraised by the specialized construction agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade .

Up to now, the project's basic design documents have been basically completed. However, to ensure conditions for submission to the Ministry of Industry and Trade for appraisal, the investor must complete related procedures.

Kon Tum Provincial Party Secretary Duong Van Trang hopes that Kon Tum province will have 2 wind power projects in the province, including the Kon Plong Wind Power Plant Project, to contribute to the province's budget revenue. Mr. Trang requested relevant units to create the best conditions for investors so that the project can be completed soon but must comply with the law.

Mr. Trang also requested relevant departments, units and investors to go to the field to survey, mark each wind power tower, survey and determine the power line to prepare a project and submit it to the Provincial People's Committee for reporting to the Ministry of Industry and Trade for appraisal and submission to the Prime Minister for approval according to regulations. After the Prime Minister approves the planning of Mang Den Tourist Area with wind power project, continue to implement the next steps.
