On June 25, residents living in the two resettlement areas of Xuan Phuong 3 and Dong Hon in Quang Chau ward (Sam Son city) all said that after Thanh Hoa Newspaper published information about the long-term water outage here, relevant parties of Sam Son city intervened and promptly restored water supply to the people.
People in Dong Hon resettlement area have been supplied with domestic water again.
Ms. Le Thi Lam, a resident of Dong Hon Resettlement Area, reported: After days of no water for daily use, people reported to many related units but were not promptly resolved. After Thanh Hoa Newspaper reporters came to investigate and report on June 23, by the evening of the same day, the water supply was restored. Local people thanked the newspaper for accompanying them.
Previously, on June 23, Thanh Hoa Electronic Newspaper published an article: "Continuously broken pipes causing water loss in resettlement areas of Quang Chau ward". The article reported that since June 19, a nearby residential construction unit broke the water supply pipe for the two resettlement areas of Xuan Phuong 3 and Dong Hon in the ward. However, the repair was somewhat delayed, and the water supply was restored on June 22. However, on the morning of June 23, the pipe broke again, causing water loss again. It is worth mentioning that the cause of the second water loss was also due to the construction unit breaking it with an excavator, causing public outrage. The water loss lasted for 3 days during the extremely hot days, disrupting people's lives.
Also on June 23, when relevant parties actively repaired the pipeline, water was restored that evening.
On June 25, we contacted the leaders of the Sam Son City Construction Investment Project Management Board to schedule a meeting to clarify the responsibilities of the parties involved, but were unsuccessful.
