Sports economy contributes more resources to promote the development of grassroots sports

The field of sports economy is increasingly attracting the attention of many organizations, businesses and people of Quang Tri, thereby investing efforts and money in building centers, clubs, sports shops... These activities have well met all the needs of entertainment, health improvement, training and sports competition for all classes of people; contributing important resources to promote the development of grassroots sports in Quang Tri.

“Tien Ha Sport” is a prestigious brand in the field of sports products business in Quang Tri and many provinces and cities across the country. Mr. Nguyen Thanh, Director of Tien Ha Sport, is a football enthusiast and always wants to own quality shoes, jerseys, and balls to play football better.

However, in Dong Ha City at that time, there were few businesses specializing in providing sports products, not meeting the needs of the majority of people. Realizing that, in 2014, Mr. Thanh decided to open Tien Ha Sport Shop (Dong Le Ward, Dong Ha City) specializing in providing shoes, costumes, balls... to serve his own needs and those who share the same passion for the round ball.

With a deep understanding of the football field and understanding the thoughts and aspirations of football players about owning good products at reasonable prices, Mr. Thanh proactively went to many sports centers and companies specializing in providing football shoes Prospeed, Zocker; sports shirts CR Sport, CP Sport, Zuka Sport, Kaiwin Sport; sports injury treatment sprays; cups, flags, medals, backpacks... to cooperate and bring the best products to Quang Tri.

In addition, he also built a sportswear factory designed according to customer requirements. In business activities, Mr. Thanh always puts the interests of customers first with the motto "quality makes the brand", upholding the spirit of dedicated service, enthusiasm and consulting to provide quality products, beautiful designs, reasonable prices; there are many incentive programs, giving away free products...

With efforts in developing the sports economy, over the past 10 years, Tien Ha Sport has become an ideal destination for sports lovers to choose from a variety of genuine products, including many high-quality Vietnamese products. Estimated annual revenue is about 1 billion VND; creating jobs for 14 people, with an average income of 7-10 million VND/person/month; paying all taxes to the state budget in accordance with regulations.

Stemming from the passion, spreading the spirit of sports and meeting the needs of learning, training and competition, in recent years, many businesses and business households in the province have invested in building sports centers and facilities including: swimming pools, gyms, aerobics, artificial football fields, tennis, golf, billiards, karate-do, traditional martial arts, kick boxing... to serve the needs of training, entertainment for people and tourists.

Mr. Phan Van Ngoc, owner of Quang Tri Sports (Ward 1, Dong Ha City) said: “Previously, when participating in kick boxing tournaments nationwide, I had to spend a whole month traveling to large centers to practice. Therefore, I opened Quang Tri Sport as a place specializing in teaching and training kick boxing. Quang Tri Sport has invested in many tools and equipped with many modern machines, with a total investment of more than 1.6 billion VND. When they learned that I had this gym, many people registered to come to study to improve their health, self-defense and competition skills. Currently, we have trained 5 kick boxing coaches; the number of people coming to practice regularly is 70 people. Notably, from this gym, many people have achieved high results in traditional martial arts and kick boxing tournaments in Quang Tri and nationwide, notably Mr. Tran Van Nhat won 2 gold medals at the Vietnam Young Talent Martial Arts Tournament in 2022 and 2023”.

Active contribution to mass sports

In recent years, the socio-economic situation in the province has had positive changes, people's lives have improved, the need to enjoy culture and spirit has increased. Therefore, sports have more and more conditions to develop and affirm their important position in social life, becoming an indispensable need to improve people's health and physical strength. Developing sports economy is being interested by many businesses and people, contributing more resources to develop sports career, creating new steps for Quang Tri sports movement to develop.

Head of the Department of Sports Management, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Do Nhu Hoai said that, along with the efforts of the Sports sector in disseminating and implementing the policy of socializing sports, the awareness of all levels, sectors and the whole society about the necessity, significance and effects of socialization for the development of sports has been raised. Policies and solutions for socializing sports have gradually entered life and promoted clear effectiveness.

The strong development of non-public sports services has contributed to creating more facilities, spacious and modern sports training and competition venues, meeting the diverse enjoyment needs of the masses. The work of mobilizing sponsorship for sports activities from the province to the grassroots level has been responded to and implemented effectively by businesses and sports business households.

Along with the attention to investment in developing service businesses, many businesses and households doing sports business always accompany sports activities. Mr. Thanh happily said: “As a player and a sports service business, I always want many tournaments to be organized with scale and quality to create a playground for myself and those who are also passionate, and contribute to promoting the development of Quang Tri sports.

Over the past 10 years, Tien Ha Sport has sponsored hundreds of large and small tournaments in the province, of which an average of 10 or more tournaments are sponsored per year with cash and in-kind worth about 5 million VND/tournament". Many businesses, sports clubs and business households have organized large-scale and high-quality socialized sports tournaments such as: L'Golf Quang Tri Cup 1 - 2023; Carom 3 Cushion Karo Billiards Tournament for Karo Open Cup -Tour 1...

In addition, sports centers and clubs also open many classes teaching football, table tennis, and badminton for children, or many individuals join together to form livestream teams and comment on sports tournaments.

Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc Le Thi Hong Nhung said: “The Youth Football Tournament for men and women of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc is held annually. To successfully organize this tournament, in addition to the attention and facilitation of the Party Committees and leaders of agencies and enterprises in the whole Bloc, we also appreciate the companionship and active support of sponsoring agencies and units, including many enterprises and individuals operating in the field of sports business such as: Quyen Hong Sport, Tien Ha Sport, Sac Viet Advertising and Event Organization Company Limited, Khe May Artificial Football Field...”.
