In 2024, Kim Thanh district continued to achieve many accomplishments in all aspects. The entire district met and exceeded the set targets for 17 out of 19 socio-economic indicators. Many indicators were significantly surpassed, such as: the growth rate of industrial and construction production value reached 21.1% (target 13.5%); the growth rate of the trade and service sector reached 13.81% (target 11.8%); state budget revenue exceeded the target by 34% (target increase of 10% or more); average per capita income reached 78.9 million VND/person/year (target 77.5 million VND/person/year)...

The district continues to make breakthroughs in investing in and improving infrastructure. During the year, a series of key transportation projects and works were completed and put into use, such as: the first phase of the district's East-West arterial road; the renovation and adjustment of traffic organization at the intersection of km15 + 835 of National Highway 17B with Road 20.9 in Phu Thai town…

2024 also marked a significant breakthrough in the district's land clearance work. The district completed land clearance for 15 projects with a total area of ​​over 108 hectares and is currently clearing land for 11 projects with an area of ​​nearly 200 hectares. Many large-scale projects include: the elevated interchange on National Highway 5 in Kim Xuyen commune; the second phase of the district's East-West arterial road; the Kim Lien - Kim Tan bridge and its approach roads…

In terms of disbursing public investment capital, Kim Thanh district has consistently been one of the top-performing localities in the province. This year, the total disbursed public investment capital in the district reached over 460 billion VND, exceeding the plan by 229%. Of this, district-level public investment disbursement exceeded 384 billion VND, surpassing the plan by 207%, and commune-level disbursement exceeded 76 billion VND, surpassing the plan by 408%.

The industrial sector has seen significant investment attraction. In 2024, the district announced the zoning plan for the Kim Thanh 2 industrial park. This is the largest industrial park in the district, covering an area of ​​over 437 hectares. To date, the district has four industrial parks: Lai Vu, Phu Thai, Kim Thanh, and Kim Thanh 2. Of these, the Lai Vu and Phu Thai industrial parks have an occupancy rate of over 90%.

The district continues to promote the implementation of the project on developing agriculture towards safety, concentrated commodity agricultural production, and expanding the area of ​​rice cultivation using machinery. Currently, the entire district has 13 registered cultivation areas; maintaining more than 44,000 ^{m² of} greenhouses and net houses, generating an annual economic value of 700-900 million VND. To date, Kim Thanh district has basically achieved 7 out of 9 criteria for building advanced new rural areas, striving to achieve the advanced new rural district standard by 2025.

The rate of school infrastructure improvement at all levels reached 94.3%, with 58 out of 58 schools meeting national standards.
