On the evening of September 28, 2024, within the framework of the Vietnam Fruit Festival in Beijing, China, the Festival's Gala Dinner took place with the participation of Vietnamese fruit and vegetable production, processing, import and export enterprises as well as Chinese partners.
From China, Chairman of the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association (VINAFRUIT) Nguyen Thanh Binh said: On the morning of September 29, 2024, the first Vietnam Fruit Festival will open in Beijing, China with the cooperation of the Vietnamese Embassy in China, the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association and Chinese partners. The festival will also have the participation of many large agricultural enterprises in Vietnam and specialized agricultural associations, importers and suppliers of China.
Minister Nguyen Hong Dien and the working delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam are expected to attend and cut the ribbon to open the Vietnam Fruit Festival.

“ The festival was held with the responsible and enthusiastic participation of Vietnamese fruit and vegetable production, processing, import and export enterprises, along with a large number of Chinese customers, distributors and consumers . This is a great honor for the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association as well as the Vietnamese fruit and vegetable industry , ” informed Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh.
According to the Chairman of the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association, Vietnam - a tropical country with four seasons: Spring - Summer - Autumn - Winter and a territory spanning over 15 latitudes - has become an ideal condition for growing fruits with distinctive flavors.
Not to mention, thanks to the hard-working spirit, creativity, and will to constantly improve of Vietnamese farmers and businesses, the fruit and vegetable industry has become one of the fastest growing industries in Vietnam's agricultural sector.
Notably, according to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, in less than 2 years since the Covid-19 pandemic was controlled (from January 2023 to present), Vietnam's fruit and vegetable export turnover has grown by leaps and bounds. In 2023, it grew by 67% (reaching 5.6 billion USD) compared to 2022 and in the first 9 months of 2024, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable export turnover exceeded the turnover of the whole year of 2023 with a value of 5.74 billion USD.
“With these results, we predict that the export turnover of fruits and vegetables for the whole year of 2024 will probably reach over 7 billion USD,” said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh. Mr. Binh also said that this achievement is the result of the efforts of many people, first of all, the farmers who work day and night in the fields, gardens, and farms to produce quality and safe products that satisfy everyone.
Next are the business owners, factories, workshops, and courageous entrepreneurs who dare to think, dare to do, and accept challenges to bring quality, unique Vietnamese fruit and vegetable products to world consumers.
In particular, according to the Chairman of the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association, this achievement cannot be achieved without mentioning the great role of the Party and State leaders in orienting, leading, paving the way, creating conditions and supporting producers and businesses to develop.
The Vietnam Fruit Festival in Beijing is the clearest evidence, the clearest demonstration of the solidarity, unanimity, and support for businesses and people of the Government leaders, the leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, diplomatic agencies, trade offices, and media of Vietnam; the efforts of all levels and sectors in creating favorable conditions to support the opening of the market for the Vietnamese fruit and vegetable industry, supporting the connection of Vietnamese farmers and businesses with trusted partners and Chinese consumers.

Also according to Chairman of the Association Nguyen Thanh Binh, with the theme "Vietnamese Fruits - Four Delicious Seasons", the Vietnamese Fruit Festival in Beijing, China will be one of the important trade promotion events for fresh fruits and vegetables and processed products from fruits and vegetables that have been officially imported into the Chinese market.
This will be a good opportunity for Vietnamese producers and suppliers to introduce and promote their brands and images of typical fruit products, as well as find customers and increase trading activities.
