Which way to success?

While the standard path for insurance professionals usually starts as a consultant, goes through internship programs, is promoted to a management position, and finally becomes General Agency Office Director, Mr. Quang Tam's career ladder is full of unexpected changes with many ups and downs of the times.

Although he used to hold the position of Director of the Board, at the end of 2005, Mr. Do Quang Tam decided to temporarily stop this position to focus on his personal business. He shared: "After stabilizing my family, I was determined to start over as an insurance consultant, with the goal of becoming a Director once again. For me, continuing to contribute to the community through the good values ​​of insurance is the most important thing, regardless of the position."

This decision marked the beginning of a challenging journey, but the result was a success story, written by his determination and the trust that Prudential placed in him. With persistent efforts, despite the challenges at that time, Mr. Tam became the first and only case to hold the position of General Agency Office Director twice in his career, proving the power of perseverance in pursuing a dream.

Colleagues often ask him why he keeps trying, even when he has achieved many successes. In response to that question, he humbly shares: "For me, success has no formula, nor is it a stopping point, but it is a journey of continuous development and conquering higher levels. Sharing the same vision as my colleagues in the profession, I aspire to build a genuine and transparent life insurance industry, with the hope of inspiring the team in the general agency office, helping everyone not to be afraid to overcome the challenges that the market brings. "Success still requires change"

In the insurance industry, the market is constantly changing, customer needs are increasingly diverse, and workers are increasingly less determined, often distracted by financial concerns. This decrease in determination has caused many people to lose faith in the profession, creating great challenges in the development of general agency offices at the present time.

So when asked the question "Does success require change?", Mr. Tam soon found his own answer: "There is no single path to success. The key is to persistently pursue your dreams and be willing to accept the necessary changes along the way. When we maintain this spirit, we will always achieve what we desire."

He constantly changes himself and his office by experimenting with new things, applying technology and communication to improve management efficiency and operating processes, especially when the target customers participating in insurance are getting younger and younger. Although he is middle-aged, he is not afraid to "go to school" to acquire new knowledge, on the contrary, this is a valuable experience that he can never forget.

On October 1, in the talk show "Success still needs change" co-organized by Prudential and CafeBiz, Mr. Tam also shared his perspectives on his insurance journey, creating positive inspiration for young people pursuing the insurance industry. When asked about the key points of the General Agency Office model launched by Prudential in the fourth quarter of 2023, Mr. Tam added: "The implementation of the new General Agency office model is not only to adapt to the market, but also a commitment to investing in people. Our employees and consultants must be satisfied and happy, then we can bring satisfaction and happiness to customers."

As one of the first offices nationwide to convert to this model, Mr. Tam said: "Innovation is not only to adapt to the market, but also demonstrates Prudential's commitment to long-term investment in people. A model that is improved and standardized every day not only helps strengthen trust but also helps customers be willing to give themselves the opportunity to protect themselves."
