Field inspection of some investment projects in agriculture and forestry in Bao Thang

The delegation included leaders of the departments of Finance, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Environment, Construction and the Provincial People's Committee Office; and leaders of Bao Thang District People's Committee.

The working group inspected the Musa Golden Lao Cai Banana Starch and Textile Fiber Factory Project (Phong Hai Farm town).

The inspection program aims to evaluate implementation progress, remove difficulties for businesses and help the province build effective support policies that are suitable to reality.

The delegation inspected the Musa Golden Lao Cai Banana Starch and Textile Fiber Factory Project (Phong Hai Farm Town); Bao Thang Organic Cinnamon Production and Processing Factory Project (Phong Nien Commune); Gia Hung Company's closed high-tech pig breeding farm project (Thai Nien Commune).

Regarding the Musa Golden Lao Cai Banana Starch and Textile Fiber Factory, the project has not yet started construction because the unit is still studying the project adjustment to suit the overall approved planning (after the District People's Committee completes the land clearance of the land plot in Phong Hai Farm town).

Construction unit reports on construction progress of Bao Thang Organic Cinnamon Production and Processing Factory.

The Bao Thang Organic Cinnamon Production and Processing Factory Project started in December 2022, however, due to many reasons, the factory construction will not be carried out until early 2025. According to the report of the construction unit, the construction progress of the items is being accelerated, striving to hand over the project for use by December 2025. Currently, this project is still stuck in site clearance and compensation for site clearance at the location of returning the residential road to the people. The District People's Committee has directed the Phong Nien Commune People's Committee to coordinate with the Vietnam Cinnamon Company to review and have a compensation plan according to regulations.

With the Gia Hung Company's closed high-tech pig breeding farm project, the items are being actively implemented, ensuring progress, and are expected to be put into operation by the end of the first quarter of 2026. However, the road leading to the project is currently degraded, the power line has not been invested, and the enterprise is facing high investment costs. The investor proposed that the province support the upgrading and repair of the access road and bring electricity to the farm to facilitate production activities.

At the inspection sites, the working delegation listened to investors and local leaders report on the actual situation, difficulties and obstacles in the project implementation process.

Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: These are important agricultural and forestry projects, contributing to promoting socio -economic development and improving the lives of local people.

Faced with difficulties in site clearance and legal procedures when implementing projects, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed the provincial departments and branches to closely coordinate with localities and investors to focus on removing difficulties and flexibly applying support policies suitable to reality, creating the most favorable conditions to speed up construction progress and soon put projects into operation.
