On the afternoon of August 27, in Muong Khuong town, Muong Khuong district, Lao Cai province, Colonel, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Dong, Deputy Director of the Military Medical Department (General Department of Logistics) inspected the preparation for medical examination, consultation, and free medicine provision for policy beneficiaries in the border area of Muong Khuong district. This is an activity within the framework of the 8th Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange Program.

Reporting to the working delegation, Colonel, BSCKII Nguyen Huy Hoang, Director of Military Hospital 109 (Logistics Department, Military Region 2) affirmed that, in carrying out the tasks assigned by leaders at all levels, up to now, all preparations for medical examination, treatment, and free medicine provision for policy beneficiaries of ethnic minorities in the border area of Muong Khuong district have been basically completed.

Specifically, realizing the importance of the task, from August 26, the working group of Military Hospital 109 with a force of 45 officers and doctors, under the direct command of the hospital director, was present in the area to deploy specific coordination and cooperation work with the local authorities and medical forces to prepare in all aspects.
With the active support of the government, armed forces and medical staff of Muong Khuong district, the free examination, consultation and medicine provision area at the Cultural House of Xom Moi, Muong Khuong town has been established. At this campus, Military Hospital 109 has coordinated to deploy all the examination tables, medicine provision areas, ultrasound, cardiac monitoring, obstetric examination, X-ray... in a closed cycle, ensuring scientific, reasonable and suitable to the terrain conditions. By early afternoon of August 27, all examination tables had been installed with machinery and equipment, ready for operation.
In addition to preparing professional work, Military Hospital 109 has proactively coordinated with other forces to decorate slogans and propaganda banners around the area, ensuring aesthetics and meaning. At the same time, it has closely contacted and contracted with local forces to be ready to organize reception and flow of people coming for examination...

After listening to the report and directly inspecting the situation, on behalf of the leaders and commanders of the Military Medical Department, Colonel, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Dong praised Hospital 109 and its affiliated forces for proactively doing a good job of preparing; sincerely thanked the attention of the leaders, authorities, departments, branches, unions, and local mass organizations. The Deputy Director of the Military Medical Department also directly discussed and directed the editing of some contents, especially the decoration of the festival, the arrangement of the examination area, to ensure suitability and completion.
With his experience, Colonel, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Dong also noted that the leaders of Military Hospital 109 need to proactively coordinate more closely with the locality to develop contingency plans, ready to respond successfully in all situations, especially when the weather conditions are unfavorable or there are power grid incidents, in case of too many people coming for examination at the same time, to avoid chaos, disorder, and safety, ensuring the excellent completion of this extremely meaningful task.
According to the plan, on August 28, Military Hospital 109, with the reinforcement of the 108 Central Military Hospital and the coordination of local medical forces, will organize health examinations, consultations, and provide free medicine for over 700 policy beneficiaries of ethnic minorities in the border area of Muong Khuong district, Lao Cai province.
