Food safety inspection in Thai Nguyen city

The provincial interdisciplinary delegation inspected the fresh produce business area at Go Thai Nguyen Supermarket.

Currently, Thai Nguyen City has over 4,700 food establishments. In order to effectively implement the work of ensuring food safety and hygiene (FSH), the city's functional agencies and departments have performed well in directing and actively informing and propagating in many forms. In particular, propaganda activities are promoted on occasions such as: Action Month for FHS, Mid-Autumn Festival, Lunar New Year... Thereby contributing to raising awareness of producers, traders and consumers about the importance of ensuring FHS.

The inspection of import and export records of Go Thai Nguyen Supermarket is also closely monitored by the province's interdisciplinary inspection team.

Along with that, Thai Nguyen City has done a good job of inspecting, post-inspecting, and monitoring food safety. In 2024, the locality inspected over 1,200 establishments, handled 55 administrative violations with a fine of over 270 million VND. In the first 3 months of this year alone, 196 establishments were inspected, 20 establishments were fined with a fine of over 144 million VND. With the goal of ensuring food safety, the city has also strengthened management of slaughtering and trading of fresh food in markets, displayed on sidewalks, etc.

As part of the working program, the provincial interdisciplinary delegation inspected Go Thai Nguyen Supermarket. The inspection showed that the unit had done quite well in ensuring food safety and hygiene. The delegation also reminded the unit to do better in some issues such as: labeling, tracing origin, completing records and documents, etc.
