Currently, in Phu Luong district, there are 400 food production and trading establishments managed by the Health sector, over 600 establishments managed by the Industry and Trade sector, and nearly 5,990 establishments managed by the Agriculture and Environment sector. In recent times, the propaganda and education of laws and knowledge on food safety (FS) have been promoted by all levels, sectors, and localities, creating changes in awareness and actions of management agencies, producers, traders, and consumers.
In 2024 and the first 3 months of 2025, the district established 2 district-level interdisciplinary inspection teams, 14 inspection teams of communes and towns, inspected 49 establishments and found no establishments violating food safety regulations.

During the working program, the provincial interdisciplinary inspection team inspected the collective kitchen of Shints BVT Company Limited (Thai Nguyen Branch, located in Du town) and the collective kitchen of Green Food Company Limited (in Tuc Tranh commune). Through the inspection, the team found that both units strictly complied with food safety and hygiene regulations, had business registration, food certificates or food safety commitments, food purchase contracts, 3-step food inspection books, etc.
The interdisciplinary inspection team requested that units continue to perform well in food safety and hygiene, invest more in facilities in this field and strictly implement food traceability.
