Once Upon a Time episode 35 will debut with the play The Legend of the Magic Eye (author: Quang Thao, director: Dinh Toan).
In 15 minutes, more than 10,000 tickets were sold for Once Upon a Time 35
A representative of Idecaf Drama Theater said that on the evening of April 3, the theater opened ticket sales for 15 shows in May of the program Once Upon a Time 35 on the Ticketbox system. Surprisingly, in just 15 minutes, 10,000 tickets were sold out.
As of today, more than 80% of tickets have been sold. The theater is preparing to continue selling tickets for June shows. Depending on the situation, the schedule will be adjusted for July and August.
Idecaf representative said the reason this year's Once Upon a Time was performed earlier than every year was not only to add more performances but also to create conditions for young audiences.
"In recent years, many audiences have reported that the ticket buying situation for Once Upon a Time is so stressful that they cannot buy tickets.
When selling tickets online, we have to admit that the advantage belongs to young people and teenagers. They operate very quickly. With our traditional audience of 8-12 years old, they are not familiar with technology so it is very difficult to buy. Parents are also not familiar so they are slow.
Therefore, performing early and promising to last 2-3 months will create conditions for young audiences to buy tickets. The atmosphere of buying tickets will also be less tense and tiring," said an Idecaf representative.
The main setting of the movie is Egypt. The crew revealed that the scenery, character designs, puppets, and costumes will be invested in to create a magical world for young audiences. The investment budget is higher than every year, estimated at nearly 1 billion VND.

Bringing circus, magic, environmental protection... into children's theater
5B Drama Theater is also bustling with new scripts ready to be released before summer.
People's Artist My Uyen, the theater director, said the play is about love for animals. She confided that she recently met a few freelance circus performers and magicians. They perform here and there from stadiums to fairs, but they love their jobs and want to perform on a regular stage.
"So I came up with the idea of putting these actors in the latest children's play so they can perform animal manipulation, circus acts, and magic tricks to attract young audiences" - My Uyen said about the summer play plan.

Ban Mai Theater, specializing in children in District 10, just debuted during Tet with the play Rago - The First Journey , and is now starting to prepare for a new play in the summer.
Director Bao Chu said he has not yet chosen an official name for the play. However, he revealed that the play will have an environmental protection theme. The stage will have a campaign to collect waste to turn into props and scenery for the play.
The play will premiere in mid-May. During the performances, the stage will encourage children to bring used plastic items to the stage, and the staff will guide them to recycle them and make cute toys.
Last year, although it was just released for the first time, the Fairy Tale program with the play "The Secret of a Hundred Bamboo Joints" by Truong Hung Minh stage unexpectedly became a big success, reaching 60 performances.
That success became a pressure that made the stage tense this year in choosing a satisfactory script.
Artist Minh Nhi said: "Last year, the audience supported us so enthusiastically, so this year we must continue to do well.
We don't worry about investment costs, but now we have a headache choosing a script.
Another difficulty is that the actors are too busy, so inviting people to join them throughout the summer is a bit of a headache. The whole crew is trying to make sure that Fairy Tale No. 2 is brought to the audience this summer."
Director Viet Linh said that this summer she will remake the play My Little Angel for young audiences. The play is adapted from the novel of the same name by writer Nguyen Nhat Anh, which was released in 2016.
My Little Angel is very popular because of the pure acting of the child actors. However, because the children grow up so quickly, the play has had to change the cast several times. And this time, the audience will meet the child actors that director Viet Linh has just finished casting.
