Stimulating transportation services to promote tourism in Quang Nam

With the trend of tourists increasingly preferring small group trips, associated with personal vehicles, the transportation sector needs to have stimulus moves to serve tourists.

In the recently announced Quang Nam 2024 tourism stimulus package, there are 6 travel and transportation units participating; in which, GSM Green and Smart Travel Joint Stock Company has launched a promotion program to give preferential travel codes to customers who buy stimulus products "Quang Nam - green heritage".

For electric cars, visitors will receive a 20% discount (up to 50 thousand VND), up to 5 codes per month; for electric motorbikes, there will be a 25% discount (up to 50 thousand VND), up to 5 codes per month.

According to Hoi An Express representative, also in the stimulus program with the packages "Freedom", "Freedom and fun", "Resort and golf" when customers book these tours, there will be an accompanying service of airport pick-up and drop-off to serve tourists attentively.

One type of transportation that has an important impact on the current tourism industry is aviation. Recently, there have been more options for tourists, especially during the April 30 - May 1 holiday and the peak of the domestic summer tourism season when the national airline Vietnam Airlines has opened 2,000 additional flights after 9 p.m. on routes from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to other localities.

In addition, the airline also offers a 10% discount on ticket prices for groups of 4 or more and a 15% discount on ticket prices for groups of 8 or more, applicable to tickets purchased at least 7 days in advance of the departure date. This can be considered a solution to stimulate domestic tourism, especially for groups and families.

It is known that on the occasion of April 30 - May 1, Vietjet Air has also added tens of thousands of seats, equivalent to hundreds of flights on tourist routes to serve tourists.

Mr. Tran Hoang Linh - Director of Vietjet Central Branch said that currently, Vietjet Air is the airline with the most flights per day to Chu Lai airport, and is also the unit with the most international flights to Da Nang airport, so this is a good signal contributing to promoting tourism in the two localities of Quang Nam - Da Nang.

“The Central region, especially Da Nang and Hoi An, needs to pay more attention to promoting the Indian and Australian markets. These are two large markets that are very fond of the Da Nang - Hoi An destination and we are ready to cooperate with the locality to promote and advertise these markets,” said Mr. Linh.

Regarding railway transport, recently the People's Committee of Quang Nam province signed a cooperation agreement to promote railway tourism with Vietnam Railways Corporation in the period of 2024 - 2030.

According to Mr. Hoang Gia Khanh - General Director of Vietnam Railway Corporation, the unit pays great attention to the transportation of tourists to provinces and cities where railways pass through. Quang Nam is a land with a system of heritage and famous landscapes and is always in the top of the localities with the largest number of visitors in the country.

“In the coming time, to develop tourism in Quang Nam and build appropriate policies to promote railway tourism, the unit and Quang Nam province will coordinate to increase the number of visitors to Quang Nam, creating favorable conditions for domestic visitors from localities at both ends of the country to travel to Quang Nam by rail.

In addition, the two sides will coordinate in marketing tourist destinations, promoting Quang Nam tourism programs connected to the railway. At the same time, they will unify support policies, create favorable conditions to promote tourism service businesses, create new tours to increase the number of visitors to and from Quang Nam by rail," said Mr. Khanh.
