To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification, the space is bright red with the color of the national flag appearing on the campuses of many universities in Ho Chi Minh City. For about a week now, joining in this special atmosphere, many universities in Ho Chi Minh City have been wearing "special shirts".
Master Nguyen Thao Chi, Head of the Department of Communications and Corporate Relations at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City), shared: "Since the beginning of this week, the main campus of the school in District 1 has been decorated with bright red flags. At a time when the whole country is extremely excited and eager to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification, this activity has a positive meaning and further encourages pride and patriotism."
According to Master Thao Chi, these days, the campus has become a "check-in" spot for many teachers and students. "A space filled with flags and flowers not only helps preserve beautiful images of the country's important moment, but more than that, it is also a reminder of the unforgettable heroic past of our ancestors to have today's peace. Be grateful for the past, cherish the present and believe in the future", the Head of the Department of Communications and Corporate Relations of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Ho Chi Minh City National University) shared more.
Similarly, the campus of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade also became more splendid with hundreds of red flags with yellow stars fluttering. Master Pham Thai Son, Director of the Admissions and Communications Center, said that the school has implemented the youth project "National Flag Road" at the school's facilities and the school's dormitory center.
In addition, the school also has many activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day such as: Student art performance, book festival and reading culture in 2025 with the theme "Each page of a book - A pride"...
"Through these activities, the school aims to educate students about responsibility, patriotism, and national pride," said Master Thai Son.

5,000 students attend special flag-raising ceremony
In recent days, the image of a giant flag taken from above has made many people admire, causing a "storm" on social networks. The image was recorded from the special flag-raising ceremony "I love my Fatherland" and the concert "The Country is Full of Joy" held at the Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural House on April 20. The program was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Student Association to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).
The program attracted nearly 5,000 students from Ho Chi Minh City to attend, singing together songs such as: The country is full of joy, Like having Uncle Ho on the great victory day ... Not only is it a cultural event for young people, the program is also a strong affirmation of the pride of the Ho Chi Minh City student generation in the past, continuing to write the future.
