According to a VNA reporter in Tokyo, the cherry blossom season ends at famous tourist destinations in Japan such as Tokyo, Osaka or Kyoto, when the Shomei Yoshino cherry blossom trees around Mount Fuji begin to bloom.
Places around Mount Fuji in Yamanashi Prefecture include Lake Kawaguchi, one of the Fuji Five Lakes, Arakurayama Sengen Park with Chureito Pagoda, or Yamanaka Swan Lake, the largest lake of the Fuji Five Lakes, which are popular tourist attractions.
These are places where visitors can admire two symbols of Japan at the same time, seeing the majesty of Mount Fuji and enjoying the charm of cherry blossoms.

In the warm spring sunshine, visitors can stroll under the rows of pinkish-white Shomei Yoshio cherry trees by Lake Kawaguchi, climb the nearly 1km long stone stairs to admire the entire majestic view of Mount Fuji with the ancient Chureito Pagoda among hundreds of blooming cherry trees or play with white swans at Lake Yamanaka.
All bring special emotions, imbued with Japanese characteristics.
The contrast between the softness and fragility of cherry blossoms and the majesty and silence of Mount Fuji creates a perfect balance, like a symphony of Japanese nature.

Cherry blossoms bloom for only a short time, symbolizing the fragility and impermanence of life, while Mount Fuji with its perfectly symmetrical shape represents longevity and eternity.
It is the harmony between these two images that makes visitors not only admire but also feel the spiritual depth and philosophy of life of the Japanese people.
