This is an artistic activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), towards the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Voice of Vietnam (September 7, 1945 - September 7, 2025), broadcast live on VOV1, VOV3 channels; online on Voice of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper (VOV.VN); live television on VTV2 channel (Vietnam Television).
Journalist Pham Manh Hung, Deputy General Director of Voice of Vietnam, Head of the program's organizing committee, said that "The Triumphal Song" is not simply an art program celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. This is an important milestone, contributingto educating the younger generation about revolutionary traditions, arousing patriotism, and awareness of preserving and promoting the achievements of the previous generations.
In addition to musical performances, the program is also an opportunity for historical witnesses, veterans, artists, and veteran journalists who witnessed or participated in the moment of April 30, 1975 to share their profound memories through reports.
The program, directed by People's Artist Quoc Hung, consists of three parts: "Hanoi hears the news of victory", "Marching to Saigon", "The country after reunification". Each part is an emotional journey, recreating heroic milestones, from historical memories to the reality of a renewed, integrated and developed Vietnam. In particular, the program bears the unique mark of the Voice of Vietnam - the unit that directly broadcast the historic victory news on April 30, 1975.
In the program, the audience will enjoy famous revolutionary songs such as “Mother loves child”, “Liberate the South”, “The storm has risen”, “Spring in Ho Chi Minh City”, “Forward the soldiers of the people”, “Hanoi – Hue – Saigon”, “As if Uncle Ho were here on the day of great victory”, “Colorful Vietnam”, “Vietnam, let us continue”, “Continue writing the story of peace – Aspiration of Vietnamese youth”, “The country is in bloom”…
Besides singers such as Meritorious Artist Lan Anh, Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, "Honorable Song" brings together a number of young artists such as Nguyen Tran Trung Quan, Dong Hung, Oplus group, Sao Tuoi Tho Club...
