The program “Song of Triumph” is divided into 3 parts: Part 1 “ Hanoi hears the news of victory”; Part 2 “Marching to Saigon”; Part 3 “The country after reunification”. Each part is an emotional journey, recreating heroic milestones, from historical memories to the reality of a renewed, integrated and developed Vietnam.
In particular, the program bears the unique mark of Voice of Vietnam Radio - the unit that directly broadcast the historic victory news on April 30, 1975.

Part 1 “Hanoi hears the news of victory” will recreate an unforgettable historical moment – the morning of April 30, 1975 in Hanoi. In the quiet space of the morning, the loudspeaker of the Voice of Vietnam radio broadcast the news of victory, making millions of hearts burst into tears. The applause, the cheers, the handshakes, the hugs of strangers – all combine to create a sacred emotional picture of the great victory day. Along with that are famous songs such as “Mother loves children”, “Liberate the South”, “The storm has risen”, “Spring in Ho Chi Minh City”…
Part 2 of “Marching to Saigon” will recreate the bustling atmosphere in the South on the historic day of April 30, 1975 – when Saigon was officially liberated. The footsteps of the victorious army entered the city, the liberation music resounded from the loudspeakers of the old government, marking the great moment of transition in the history of the nation.
The program will use valuable documents, historical witnesses' stories, along with familiar musical works such as "Forward, compatriots", "Hanoi - Hue - Saigon", "As if there were Uncle Ho in the great victory day". These are works that once resounded at the moment of national reunification, evoking sacred memories and the spirit of national solidarity.
Part 3 “The Country After Reunification” will be a symphony of the present and the future – reflecting the 50-year journey of nation building after liberation. From a country with many difficulties after the war, Vietnam today has become an influential country, proactively integrating and developing comprehensively in many fields. That journey is told through musical works with the spirit of the new era such as: “Colorful Vietnam”, “Vietnam, let us continue”, “Continue writing the story of peace – Aspirations of Vietnamese youth” and “Blooming country”… “The Country After Reunification” is not only a mark of the achievements of the past 50 years, but also a strong affirmation of the aspiration for the future – where each Vietnamese person continues to contribute a stroke to the picture of development, prosperity and integration of the nation.
Journalist Pham Manh Hung, Deputy General Director of VOV, Head of the program's Organizing Committee, said: "With a large scale of organization and carefully invested content, "The Triumphant Song" is not simply an art program celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. This is an important milestone, contributing to educating the revolutionary tradition for the younger generation, arousing patriotism, awareness of preserving and promoting the achievements of the previous generation.
The program has the participation of many generations of artists - from People's Artists, Meritorious Artists to talented young artists such as Meritorious Artist Lan Anh, Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, Nguyen Tran Trung Quan, Dong Hung, Oplus group...
People's Artist Quoc Hung, the program's general director, said: "The Triumphant Song is completely new, bringing together young artists, songs, medleys, and mashups with new arrangements. Especially the dance performance 'As if Uncle Ho were here on the great victory day' by 100 children from the Sao Tuoi Tho Club".
The highlight of the program “Song of Triumph” is the performance “The Storm Has Risen” (ST: Trong Bang) performed by the Oplus group. Musician Trong Bang composed and completed this song in just about an hour. Immediately after that, the song was brought to the Voice of Vietnam for recording and quickly spread over the radio waves. “The Storm Has Risen” became famous that spring and was well received by all the people.
“Song of Triumph” is an important highlight in the series of events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the establishment of Voice of Vietnam (September 7, 1945 – September 7, 2025). Through the program, the Organizing Committee hopes to bring to the public not only emotions, but also suggestions for each person to love the country more, appreciate the present and be responsible for the future of the nation.
The program will take place at 8:00 p.m. on April 25, 2025 at the Hanoi Opera House, broadcast live on VOV1 and VOV3 channels; online on Voice of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper (VOV.VN); and live on VTV2 channel - Vietnam Television.
