According to information from the Con Vanh Ecotourism Area Management Board, during the 5-day holiday from April 30 to May 1, the ecotourism area welcomed more than 30,000 visitors to visit, relax and swim here, an increase of more than 5% compared to the April 30 - May 1 holiday in 2023. On April 30, the weather was quite hot, so the number of people and tourists coming to Con Vanh beach increased to a record high of about 15,000.
Con Vanh eco-tourism area attracts a large number of tourists during the holidays.
Despite the large number of tourists coming to visit and relax, the security and order situation at Con Vanh eco-tourism area is still maintained, especially no fatal drowning accidents have occurred. To ensure safety, the functional units of Tien Hai district have arranged more than 20 people (the traffic police force of Tien Hai district police, Nam Phu commune police, Cua Lan Border Guard Station, and officers of the Con Vanh eco-tourism management board) to regularly remind tourists, and at the same time monitor and handle drowning incidents. According to Mr. To Manh Bien, Head of the Con Vanh eco-tourism management board: Although the functional forces have made efforts to propagate and warn tourists, while swimming in the sea, some people, especially young people, are still subjective and swim in areas far from the markers, not following the instructions of the functional forces. During the 5-day holiday here, a drowning accident also occurred, however, thanks to timely rescue by authorities and local people, the victim was brought safely to shore.
Due to the large number of tourists coming to swim at Con Vanh Dong, in the afternoon of April 30, there was a traffic jam of about 2km on Provincial Road DT.221A leading to Con Vanh Eco-tourism Area. However, the traffic police and Tien Hai District Police arrived promptly to organize traffic flow, regulate traffic, and clear the jam. After nearly 1 hour of efforts by the authorities, the traffic jam was resolved.
