The Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association Relic Site in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, China is the former location of the Vietnam Youth Political Training Class, the headquarters of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association (the predecessor of the Communist Party of Vietnam) led by President Ho Chi Minh. The first and second Vietnam Youth Political Training Classes were held here.
Comrades Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoqi, Chen Yannian and other important leaders of the Communist Party of China were invited to give lectures here. In 2008, this site was declared a Cultural Relics Protection Unit of Guangdong Province.
In November 1924, comrade Nguyen Ai Quoc (President Ho Chi Minh) traveled from Moscow (Russia) to Guangzhou (China). Here, he founded the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth League - the first revolutionary organization of Vietnam following Marxist-Leninist theory.
On June 21, 1925, the newspaper that laid the foundation for the Vietnamese revolutionary press, Thanh Nien, was born, aiming to propagate Marxism-Leninism. Also in Guangzhou, his first Marxist-Leninist work - "The Revolutionary Path" was published in early 1927.
The Vietnamese youth political training class in Guangzhou provided political training for a large number of Vietnamese youth, including Tran Phu, Nguyen Luong Phong, Le Tiet Hung, Pham Van Dong, Hong Hong... These Vietnamese revolutionary cadres made many important contributions to the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the national liberation movement.
The Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association Relic Site is an important cultural and historical relic, identified by Guangzhou City as a city-level cultural relic preservation site since 1999. |
During his time in Guangzhou, President Ho Chi Minh led Vietnamese youth to share joys and sorrows, stand side by side with the Communist Party of China and the Chinese people, and get acquainted with the common ideals and beliefs of leaders such as Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, and Liu Shaoqi, together writing a profound revolutionary friendship between Vietnam and China, as "comrades and brothers".
The old location of the Vietnamese Youth Political Training Class and the Vietnamese Revolutionary Youth Association is an important location that records President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary activities in Guangzhou, and is also a historical "witness" to the deep friendship between the two Parties and the two peoples of Vietnam and China.
In November 1971, Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai accompanied Prime Minister Pham Van Dong to inspect the old site and ordered its protection.
In 1973, Guangzhou city repaired and restored the old site and began welcoming Vietnamese and foreign visitors. Over the past 50 years, many leaders of the Vietnamese Party and State such as Comrade Do Muoi, Vo Van Kiet, Le Kha Phieu, Tran Duc Luong, Nguyen Phu Trong,... have visited this place to pay their respects.
In order to inherit, maintain and promote the traditional friendship of “comrades and brothers” established and nurtured by previous leaders such as Chinese Chairman Mao Zedong and President Ho Chi Minh, the Guangdong Museum of Revolutionary History has organized a series of tours to the headquarters of the Vietnamese Youth Political Training Class. This location has been carefully restored.
The restored exhibition follows the principle of "preserving the original and restoring everything completely" - restoring the actual meeting room of the headquarters of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association. |
In 2024, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary activities in Guangzhou, the Relic Site has basically restored the exhibition plan "Comrade Ho Chi Minh in Guangzhou", re-presenting the glorious history and noble demeanor of President Ho Chi Minh to international friends, telling the story of the two Communist Parties of Vietnam and China - a vivid story of revolutionary friendship between the people of the two countries.
The exhibition adheres to the concept of “small space, exquisite display”, focusing on exploring historical values and comprehensively understanding the history of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association and the Political Training Class for Vietnamese Youth.
The Revolutionary Youth Association Relic Site is where President Ho Chi Minh organized political training classes for Vietnamese youth in the early stages of the national liberation revolution. |
With the theme “Comrade Ho Chi Minh in Guangzhou”, the exhibition is systematically presented in chronological order from November 1924 to May 1927.
The restored exhibition follows the principle of “protecting the original and restoring everything completely” and realistically restores the bedroom of comrade Ho Chi Minh, the meeting room of the headquarters of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association, the printing room of the first revolutionary newspaper of Vietnam - “Thanh Nien” and the political training class of Vietnamese youth.
Images of classrooms, dormitories and other scenes recreate the life and learning process of President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnamese students attending the Vietnamese Youth Political Training Class.
After the exhibition upgrade, the exhibition area is 240 square meters, the exhibition area is 106 meters, 154 physical exhibitions and 6 multimedia exhibitions.
