Residential area in Bao Loc city flooded after storm and tornado

(Dan Tri) - A thunderstorm hit Bao Loc city (Lam Dong) for about an hour, causing many residential areas to be deeply flooded and many trees to fall.


On the afternoon of November 3, in Bao Loc city (Lam Dong), thunderstorms and whirlwinds occurred, causing many roads and residential areas to be partially flooded.

The heavy rain that lasted from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. the same day caused Le Van Tam Street (a section in Ward 2, Bao Loc City) to be flooded about 1 meter deep. The water level in Stream No. 1 (Ward 2) also rose, causing 0.5-1 meter of flooding in the houses of 20 households.

Heavy rain also caused landslides, affecting a household in residential group 8 (Ward 1, Bao Loc city). Many trees on streets such as Ho Tung Mau, Le Thi Pha (Ward 1), Thu Khoa Huan (Ward 2) were knocked down and broken by the whirlwind.

Bao Loc city authorities have assisted people in moving their flooded property to safety, while also organizing sawing and cutting down fallen trees to overcome the consequences of the storm.

Late in the afternoon of the same day, water in residential areas and roads in Bao Loc city receded, people returned to clean their houses and stabilize their lives.
