Residents panic over sudden fire on street corner

Initial information, the fire occurred at around 1:00 p.m. on November 13 at the grocery store of Ms. Truong Thi Kim's family, at the intersection of Nguyen Cong Tru Street and Ba Trieu Street in Market Zone 6 (Ward 2, Bao Loc City).

Flames and smoke from the fire rose tens of meters high, causing panic among residents in the residential area. Residents said the fire broke out on the first floor of a house next to a low-voltage power pole.

Control the fire from spreading to the house next door

After discovering the fire, the homeowner and many people in the area used mini fire extinguishers and many other items to put out the fire. People, together with local police and militia, helped the family move all of their belongings on the ground floor of the house to safety; at the same time, they reported the incident to the professional fire fighting force.

After only about 10 minutes of arriving at the scene, the fire brigade controlled the fire.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Region 3 under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police dispatched 2 specialized fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to coordinate with Bao Loc City Police and local forces to extinguish the fire, preventing it from spreading to neighboring houses.

After about 10 minutes of reaching the scene, the forces were able to completely control the fire. The fire completely burned down the first floor of the house and the items inside. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Immediately after the fire broke out, Mr. Ton Thien Dong, Secretary of Bao Loc City Party Committee, was present at the scene to direct the fire fighting and rescue work.
