On September 21, the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army sent a document to military agencies and units regarding the suspension of parade training and marching in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army.
According to the General Staff, storm No. 3 has caused serious damage to people, property, and socio-economic infrastructure in the northern provinces of our country.
Currently, the work of overcoming the consequences has been and is continuing to be directed by the Party, State, Government, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to all levels, sectors, localities and the entire political system to participate, share the losses and difficulties of the people, contribute to helping people in affected areas to soon stabilize their lives, restore production and business...
Given the above situation, the Ministry of National Defense has decided not to organize a parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day from September 21, 2024.
