No parades or marches to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the People's Army

According to the General Staff, storm No. 3 has caused serious damage to people, property, and socio-economic infrastructure in the northern provinces of our country.

Currently, the work of overcoming the consequences has been and is continuing to be directed by the Party, State, Government, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to all levels, sectors, localities and the entire political system to participate in overcoming and sharing the losses and difficulties of the people, contributing to helping people in affected localities to soon stabilize their lives and restore production and business.

Given the above situation, the Ministry of National Defense decided not to organize a parade or march during the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day.

The General Staff requested agencies and units to stop parade training and marching activities during the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day from September 21, 2024.

Also according to the General Staff, activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day will be carried out in accordance with Decision No. 307/QD-TTg dated March 28, 2023 of the Prime Minister on approving the Project to organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).
