No increase in train ticket prices, Co To tourism becomes more attractive to tourists

Boat owners on the Ao Tien - Co To (Quang Ninh) route have pledged not to increase ticket prices in 2025, even if the number of passengers increases sharply. This is a strategy agreed upon by the government and businesses to stimulate tourism in Co To.

Recently, the leaders of Co To district and the Department of Construction held a dialogue with ship owners and passenger transport businesses from the high-class Ao Tien port (Van Don district) to island communes in Van Don district and Co To district. Thereby, some problems that businesses are concerned about were resolved. In particular, the businesses agreed not to increase the ship fares.

Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Co To District, Le Ngoc Han, affirmed that the locality will develop new tourism products to attract tourists and create business opportunities for enterprises.

Representatives of the Department of Construction committed to supporting the resolution of navigation issues and dredging the channel into Co To port to ensure safe and convenient operation of ships.

Notably, ship owners and transport businesses agreed to commit not to increase ticket prices on the Ao Tien - Co To, Van Don route in 2025, creating favorable conditions for people and tourists.

The number of tourists coming to Co To via Ao Tien port is increasing rapidly. If in 2023 there were 442,287 visitors, by 2024, this number will increase to 513,913.

Since the beginning of 2025, the island district has welcomed about 150,000 visitors, showing the growing attraction of this destination.

In 2025, Co To district plans to deploy many new tourism services to enhance the experience for visitors.

One of the highlights is the Jellyfish Palace Event Center, which provides gala dinner, conference and seminar services with a capacity of 60 to 500 guests, meeting the needs of companies, travel agencies and tourists.

Small island tours are expanded, taking visitors to explore the wild beauty of Co To Con, Ca Chep Island, and Su Tu Island in Dong Tien commune, providing unique experiences of nature and biodiversity.

For those who love peace, overnight camping service at Thanh Lan will be the ideal choice, helping visitors immerse themselves in nature and enjoy the sea and island space at night.

Scuba diving to see coral at Vung Tron, Hon Chim and Hon Ong Tich (Thanh Lan commune) offers the opportunity to admire the amazing beauty under the ocean.

To facilitate tourists' travel, Co To district is encouraging the development of sightseeing services by electric cars and bicycles, contributing to environmental protection and improving the quality of tourism experiences.

Famous beaches such as Van Chay and Hong Van will be invested in upgrading facilities and services, ensuring a more comfortable, safe and attractive resort space.

These new services not only help Co To diversify its tourism products but also enhance the attractiveness of this destination in 2025, meeting the increasing demands of domestic and foreign tourists.

Co To is known as a green, environmentally friendly destination. All residents and tourists coming to the island will not bring nylon bags or single-use plastic bottles.
