Russian Air Force sends fighter jets to intercept US aircraft over Barents Sea

On September 18, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that a US Navy P-8A Poseidon aircraft had approached Russian airspace over the Barents Sea. The incident prompted Moscow to deploy MiG-31 fighter jets to prevent the US aircraft from violating its border.
