Battalion 40, Regiment 762 trains new soldiers on the training ground.

Training content and methods have many innovations and creativity to ensure closeness to the area and combat plans; the combination of military training with political education and physical training is well implemented in each stage, step and the whole training period. Management, operation and training assurance work is deployed synchronously and comprehensively in terms of human resources, facilities, training grounds and training grounds. During the training process, the regiment directs agencies and units to do a good job of grasping and managing the ideological situation, focusing on grasping the family circumstances and social relationships of soldiers, implementing well the military rear policy; promptly visiting and encouraging families of soldiers in difficult circumstances. In addition, it is necessary to regularly ensure the improvement of the quality of life so that soldiers can work with peace of mind and be attached to the unit. The quality of training is improved every year, the number of soldiers participating in training always reaches 98% or more; 100% of units achieve good and excellent training results. The system of documents, training plans, and exercises for combat readiness, natural disaster prevention, and grasping the local situation at all levels are deployed synchronously, handled proficiently, and effectively.

The emulation movement in competitions, sports, initiatives, and improvements in teaching aids in propaganda,education , and training was widely launched. Many initiatives and improvements by officers and soldiers were applied in practice and brought about practical results, such as: "Infantry gun trigger lock", "Ruler to check the lying angle of BB gun shooting exercises", "Fake smoke mine", "Multi-purpose training ground bulletin box", "Mobile library" and other models of political education and logistics - technical work.

In 2025, Regiment 762 received 260 new soldiers for training. After nearly 2 months of returning to the unit, the soldiers have stabilized their organization, have peace of mind, strictly abide by all regulations of the unit and military discipline, and are ready to receive and complete all tasks well. The unit has proactively improved the training framework, closely prepared lesson plans, lectures, and training methods; deployed repairs, consolidation, and upgrading of training grounds, training grounds, models, teaching aids, and renovating barracks, accommodation, living quarters, and cultural institutions; promoted increased production,... ensuring adequate living and studying conditions for new soldiers.

As a combat readiness training unit, Battalion 40, Regiment 762 attaches special importance to military training. With the motto "Basic, practical, solid", Battalion 40 has proactively concretized the orders, plans, and instructions of superiors on combat readiness training in a synchronous and in-depth manner. Through daily and weekly quality checks and assessments for the units on infantry combat techniques, 100% of soldiers met the requirements; of which, 85% of soldiers achieved good and excellent results. In addition to tactical training, studying and fostering politics and ideology are mandatory during their time in the army. In addition to political activities, Battalion 40 also regularly organizes for soldiers to read and study documents, books, newspapers and magazines to better understand the guidelines, policies, laws of the Party and State, and the traditions of the Vietnam People's Army. Not only for new soldiers, the work of political and ideological training for officers and soldiers in the entire unit is also seriously and regularly implemented by Battalion 40, considering this a key task in the training work of the entire force.

Many individuals have become shining examples in training work, typically Major Nguyen Quang Hop, Battalion Commander of Battalion 40, Regiment 762, always exemplary in words, actions, love, and help comrades and teammates. Promoting the sense of responsibility, every year, he does a good job of advising commanders at all levels on measures to lead the successful implementation of the Party Committee's resolutions and the superiors' orders on combat readiness training. Major Nguyen Quang Hop always upholds the spirit of self-study, regularly participates in researching initiatives, improving teaching aids and training equipment at the unit. Among these initiatives are the "Infantry gun trigger lock" and "Ruler to check the lying angle of shooting exercises of infantry guns". His initiatives have been widely applied and effective in the training work of Regiment 762.
