The People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District ( Hanoi ) has just announced the Project to renovate and embellish Ly Thai To Flower Garden. Accordingly, the project to renovate and embellish Ly Thai To Flower Garden has completed the consultation with the community on February 25, 2025. Construction is expected to begin in April 2025 and be completed in October 2025.

Accordingly, Ly Thai To flower garden will be rearranged into 3 main areas including: Khanh tiet area adjacent to Dinh Tien Hoang street, area of ​​about 5,637m2; Octagonal yard area, area of ​​about 3,033m2; flower garden area behind adjacent to Ngo Quyen street, area of ​​about 2,789m2. At the same time, Km0 is located in the center of Khanh tiet yard.

According to the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District, for the green tree category, the total number of green trees in Ly Thai To flower garden is diversely planted over many periods with a total of 100 trees including 20 types: sưa, vàng anh, thần mat, bang lang, Giáng hương, lộc vừng, hoàng yen, muong, muồng, đa, đề, lát, hoàng, si, sanh, sua, lan, chay, sẻ, nước.

The renovation plan is carried out according to the principle that valuable trees, perennial plants, and ancient trees will not be affected, only small, worthless trees and diseased trees will be replaced and moved.

Hoan Kiem District People's Committee proposed to move and replant 25 trees, of which 16 will be moved within the flower garden and 9 will be replaced with diseased trees. 30 trees will be replaced and supplemented with species suitable for Hanoi's climate. When completed, the total number of shade trees in Ly Thai To flower garden will be 114, an increase of 14 trees compared to before the renovation.
