The Tran Temple Seal Opening Festival in Nam Dinh in the spring of Giap Thin takes place from February 20 to February 25 (ie from January 11 to 16, Giap Thin year), in which the seal opening ceremony starts at 11:15 p.m. on February 23 (January 14).

Not only the opening ceremony, Tran Temple Festival also has many traditional cultural activities such as Ngoc Lo palanquin procession, Water procession, Fish sacrifice..., attracting a large number of people and tourists from all over.
From the first day of the Lunar New Year until now, it is estimated that there have been about 200,000 visitors coming to visit, worship and sightsee.

Regarding the distribution of seals, Mr. Binh said that the Relic Management Board as well as the Festival Organizing Committee have thoroughly ensured that people absolutely do not make or receive seals themselves.
"The opening ceremony of the seal will be conducted by the elders from Tran Temple on the night of January 14, then distributed to the people. The distribution of the seals will also be carried out by the Veterans Association and the Elderly Association of the local ward as assigned. Up to now, it can be confirmed that at this year's Tran Temple opening ceremony, there will be no illegal seals," Mr. Binh affirmed.
According to Mr. Binh, the organizing committee and the temple plan to publish more than 300,000 copies to meet the needs of people and tourists from all over.
According to Mr. Binh, by implementing and perfecting the organization work each year, the Tran Temple Seal Opening Festival in 2024 will have many new features. The festival will have many traditional cultural activities imbued with local cultural identity. The focus will be on the opening night of the seal on January 14 and the seal distribution activities starting early in the morning of the full moon day.
During the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee will close Thien Truong Temple to ensure the solemnity of the traditional ritual. From 5am on January 15 (February 24), the temple will distribute seals to people and visitors from all over the world at 4 locations, including three Giai Vu houses and the exhibition house of Trung Hoa Temple.
From January 16 (February 25), the printing press distribution activity continues to be held at Giai Vu houses from 7am every day.
"It is expected that from early on, the number of visitors coming to the temple to worship, perform spiritual rituals and ask for the first blessing of the year will be very large. The Organizing Committee and the temple plan to publish more than 300,000 copies to meet the needs of the people and tourists from all over the world," said Mr. Binh.
In addition, this year, all display, exhibition and service kiosks were moved to Dong A Square in the central area of the Tran Temple Festival. This created an open space for the Tran Temple grounds, ensuring solemnity and avoiding the situation of tourists jostling and pushing each other like every year.

According to Mr. Binh, the organization of this important festival always emphasizes solemnity, safety, economy, and ensuring security and order.
The relic site management board closely coordinated with the three wards and related sectors to prepare, manage and organize the festival; arrange stable kiosks; and not allow beggars, buskers, and illegal vendors to enter the festival area and the area in front of the temple gate.
To ensure security and safety for the opening ceremony, 2,500 officers, soldiers, and employees of various forces will be mobilized to ensure security and order, divided into 5 rounds, including 4 rounds directly at Tran Temple area with nearly 40 security posts, to prevent jostling, pushing, and unsafety during the festival.
