No power shortage as the country enters the era of prosperity

(NLDO) - In the period when the country enters the era of national prosperity, the electricity industry needs to ensure there is no power shortage.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized this requirement when attending the conference to review the investment and construction of the 500 kV power transmission line circuit 3 projects from Quang Trach (Quang Binh province) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen province) held on the morning of December 8, in Hanoi.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his emotion at the growth and maturity of the electricity industry, with high growth, no incidents or power shortages to meet the country's development requirements; through the power supply and the success of the 500 kV line 3 project, the image of electricians has been enhanced in the hearts of the people.

Talking about the significance of the success of the 500kV line 3 project, the Prime Minister affirmed: Nothing is impossible if there is determination, dare to think, dare to do, and know how to do.

The project contributes to enhancing the role, position and prestige of the electricity industry in the hearts of the people and domestic and foreign enterprises; contributing to strengthening confidence, bravery, intelligence and creativity; learning from experience while doing, gradually expanding, not being perfectionist or hasty.

Regarding lessons learned, the Prime Minister said that the success of the Project was due to knowing how to promote the strength of national solidarity; mobilizing the strength of the entire political system; ensuring the leadership of the Party, with the viewpoint that resources originate from thinking and vision, motivation originates from innovation and creativity, and strength originates from the people and businesses.

In addition, promptly remove institutional obstacles; ideology must be clear, determination must be high, efforts must be great, actions must be drastic, work must be focused, key points must be met, each task must be completed...

The Prime Minister requested to continue to restore; finalize accounts, complete documents, and accept the project; continue to care for the lives of people who have given up land for the project; and have forms of rewards for collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements and contributions to the project.

The electricity industry needs projects that can turn the situation around.

Sharing about the tasks in the coming time, the Prime Minister said that in recent important articles and speeches, General Secretary To Lam mentioned building a new era, an era of rising up of the Vietnamese people so that by 2030 our country will be a developing country with modern industry and high average income; by 2045 it will become a developed country with high income.

To implement these policies, Vietnam must achieve a breakthrough growth target of over 8% in 2025 and double-digit growth in the 2026-2030 period.

Therefore, the electricity industry must have projects and works to turn the situation around, change the state and avoid power shortages.

The Prime Minister hopes and believes that in 2025 and the coming time, the electricity industry will continue to reap more achievements, higher than the achievements in 2024, continue to avoid power shortages, serve socio-economic development better and better, and join the whole country in entering the era of national prosperity.

The 500 kV circuit 3 transmission line project was assigned by Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) to the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) as the investor, with a total length of 519 km, 1,177 pole locations, passing through 211 communes/wards of 43 districts in 9 provinces (Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh) with a total investment of more than 22,300 billion VND.

Under the strong direction of the Government, the Prime Minister, the attention and support of ministries, localities and people, EVN/EVNNPT has made efforts to complete the construction, energize and inaugurate the Project after more than 6 months on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd according to the assigned schedule. This is an outstanding achievement that has been commended by the Prime Minister.
