The durian market on March 21st was relatively stable. High-quality Thai durian continued to maintain the highest price, reaching 180,000 VND/kg.

The purchase prices for durian in the Mekong Delta region are as follows: Ri6 grade A is priced at 90,000 - 100,000 VND/kg, Ri6 grade B is priced at 70,000 - 80,000 VND/kg, and Ri6 grade C-D is priced at 45,000 VND/kg.

Ri6 VIP grade A is priced at 110,000 VND/kg, while grade B is priced at 90,000 VND/kg.

Thai durian grade A is priced from 135,000 - 143,000 VND/kg, grade B from 115,000 - 123,000 VND/kg, and grade CD from 55,000 - 60,000 VND/kg. Creamy durian is priced from 15,000 - 20,000 VND/kg.

Thai durian VIP grade A is priced at 170,000 VND/kg, grade B at 140,000 VND/kg, grade C price is negotiable.

Thai-style AB mangoes are priced at 65,000 - 75,000 VND/kg, CD mangoes are priced from 45,000 - 50,000 VND/kg; cream mangoes are priced from 20,000 - 25,000 VND/kg.

Chuong Bo durian, grade A, is priced from 72,000 – 75,000 VND/kg, grade B from 52,000 – 55,000 VND/kg, grade C price is negotiable; Sau Huu durian, grade A, is priced at 90,000 VND/kg, grade B is priced at 70,000 VND/kg.

Musang King durian, grade A, is priced from 135,000 - 140,000 VND/kg, while grade B is priced from 105,000 - 120,000 VND/kg. Black Thorn durian, grade A, is priced from 130,000 - 135,000 VND/kg, while grade B is priced from 110,000 - 115,000 VND/kg.

Domestic durian prices are expected to remain stable in the short term. However, fluctuations in the Thai and Chinese markets could affect durian prices in the future, especially if there are changes in import policies or an oversupply.

From the perspective of Vietnamese businesses, in order to expand export markets to other countries, durian exporters are being more cautious in controlling pesticide residue levels.

Besides China, several other markets such as the UAE, the Netherlands, Russia, and Laos also reduced their imports of fruits and vegetables from Vietnam by about 5-28% compared to the first two months of last year.
