In 2024, Con Co island district aims to welcome about 10,000 tourists with tourism and service revenue reaching about 15 billion VND; accommodation facilities increase by 10 - 15%. Therefore, the district determines to continue improving the quality of propaganda activities, promoting the image and potential advantages.
At the same time, promote calling for and effectively mobilizing resources to build synchronous infrastructure to meet the requirements of socio-economic development, ensure national defense and security, with priority given to tourism and service infrastructure...
It is known that in recent years, thanks to the attention of the Central Government, the province and departments and branches, the infrastructure and facilities serving people's lives and tourism in Con Co island district have been gradually invested in, built, renovated and upgraded.
Entertainment services are becoming more diverse. As a result, the number of tourists visiting the island increases every year. In 2023 alone, the number of tourists visiting the island reached 8,681, about 628 more than in 2022.
Total revenue from services and tourism is estimated at over 11 billion VND. The district currently has 6 accommodation service locations with 50 rooms, 144 beds, serving over 200 guests; 6 food and beverage service locations ensuring service for about 800 guests with typical island dishes such as: oysters, sea snails, squid, crab, sea cucumber, fish, sea grapes, wild bananas, foods, clean vegetables grown on the island.
Regarding transportation services, passengers on the Cua Viet - Con Co Island route currently have 2 ConCo Tourist ships with a capacity of 80 passengers and Chinh Nghia ship with a capacity of 156 passengers. To improve the quality of services, households on the island have also invested in more electric cars; repaired motels according to the homestay model; upgraded restaurants.

After inspecting and surveying the actual tourist attractions, tourist sites, and service businesses, the conference spent a lot of time discussing, contributing ideas and proposing solutions to further develop Con Co tourism in the coming time. Some issues that most representatives of travel agencies are interested in are: professionalism in implementing service tourism; price listing; services, accommodation; issues of maintaining hygiene, protecting the environment...
The leaders of Con Co district said they will continue to overcome existing limitations; hope to receive more attention from the province, departments, and branches as well as the companionship and cooperation of travel agencies in the area to build and develop Con Co tourism.
