Launching ceremony of the project to preserve, restore and promote the historical value of the Ho Chi Minh Sea Trail (phase 2) as part of a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Ben Tre province (May 1, 1975 - May 1, 2025); 139th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2025); and awarding the Nguyen Dinh Chieu Prize to Ben Tre province.

The project is located in Thanh Phong commune, Thanh Hai, Thanh Phu district; with a total land area of ​​104,245m2 ^, of which 103,528m2 is ⁱⁿ the Con Bung area and 717m2 ^is in the Khau Bang estuary area. Renovating and building new main items such as: Sea-facing gate, fence gate, central memorial, rest stop, exhibition house, reliefs, the total estimated investment of the project is 110 billion VND (Hanoi People's Committee supports 100 billion VND and the rest is the local budget).

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Ngoc Tam emphasize The historical significance of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh's strategic and wise decision to establish the Ho Chi Minh Sea Trail, with many ports in provinces such as Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau and Ba Ria - Vung Tau. The historic revolutionary trains docked in Ben Tre province, contributing to many resounding victories, great victories of the resistance war against the US to save the country, liberate the South, unify the country, in the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Tran Ngoc Tam Request the Provincial Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Civil and Industrial Works to urgently complete legal procedures, organize the selection of competent contractors, and ensure that the project is constructed on schedule, with quality and aesthetics, in accordance with the approved design.
