Launching the 1st Contest on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation in 2025

The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and central organizations have issued a plan to organize the first Political Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in 2025.

This event aims to raise awareness and responsibility of cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation.

According to the plan, the contest is not limited to party members, cadres, civil servants, public employees, union members, association members, and workers working at party organizations under the Fatherland Front and central mass organizations, but also expands the participation of cadres, reporters, editors, and collaborators of press and media agencies under the Party Committee; especially party members, cadres, civil servants, public employees, union members, association members, and workers working outside the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, central mass organizations, the business community, and overseas Vietnamese.

The themes of the entries focus on fundamental, core and emerging issues in the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, as well as issues of fighting against current erroneous and hostile viewpoints.

Entries must ensure scientific, Party-oriented, combative, and directional qualities, closely combining "building" and "fighting." The contest encourages works that are creative, unique, updated with new information, have valuable discoveries, and defend the basic principles of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, and the Party's organizational and operational principles; propose additions, develop theories, and improve policies and laws. "Political" works that directly refute and expose the anti-revolutionary and anti-scientific nature of false arguments are also given special importance.

Entries can be in many different forms such as magazines (print or electronic), newspapers (print or electronic), radio, television, video clips and must be expressed in Vietnamese (or ethnic minority languages, foreign languages ​​with Vietnamese translation). The work must be a first creation, not previously published in the media and social networks before the launch of the contest, and must ensure the duplication rate according to the regulations of the organizing committee.

Each author/group of authors can submit a maximum of 2 written works (1 magazine, 1 newspaper) and a maximum of 3 works in the categories of radio, television, video clips (1 work of each type).

The time for receiving entries begins from the time of launching the contest and lasts until May 30, 2025 (based on the postmark). The works (printed and soft copies) must be sent to the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations (No. 105B-107 Quan Thanh, Ba Dinh, Hanoi), with the envelope clearly stating "Entry to the Political Contest on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation in 2025 in the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations."

The announcement and award ceremony of the contest is expected to take place on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). This is a meaningful activity, contributing practically to the work of Party building, consolidating people's trust in the Party's leadership and the cause of building socialism./.
