Every 2 years, the organization of the selection of typical rural industrial products of Binh Thuan province will be coordinated by the functional units of the Department of Industry and Trade. Through this, products of rural industrial establishments with high quality, high usage value, potential for production development, market expansion, meeting the needs and tastes of consumers will be discovered and honored. On that basis, plans will continue to support production and trade promotion for establishments, contributing to promoting rural industry in particular and Binh Thuan industry in general to develop rapidly and sustainably.

The Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion said that up to now, the unit has advised the Department of Industry and Trade to send a document to the Provincial People's Committee requesting approval to organize a vote for typical rural industrial products of Binh Thuan province in 2024. In the near future, the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion will also coordinate with the Department of Economy and Infrastructure of localities to organize consultations and prepare product profiles to participate in the vote this time...

Recently, the Department of Industry and Trade has also issued a document guiding a number of regulations on organizing the selection of typical rural industrial products at the provincial level in 2024 for the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to implement. According to the requirements, the products participating in the selection must be capable of mass production, in large quantities (not unique products) and meet market demand. The products participating in the selection must not violate regulations on intellectual property rights, industrial property rights as well as other regulations related to standards and regulations on quality, labor safety and hygiene, food safety and environmental protection.

Participating in this vote, rural industrial establishments in the province can register for one or more products produced by themselves on the principle of voluntariness, taking responsibility before the law for the accuracy and honesty of information related to their products. Products participating in the vote are classified into groups: Handicrafts; agricultural - forestry - fishery and food processing products; products of equipment, machinery, tools and mechanical spare parts; other products (construction materials, cosmetics, etc.).

According to the schedule, the functional unit will compile complete documents and information of registered products for the Jury to conduct scoring in May 2024. Then, the Voting Council will meet to approve the scoring results, and propose to the Provincial People's Committee to recognize typical rural industrial products at the provincial level and products participating in the voting at the Southern region level this year. It is expected that the ceremony to announce and honor typical rural industrial products of Binh Thuan province in 2024 will be held next August.

Winning products enjoy many benefits
Rural industrial establishments whose products participate in the voting and win the award will be granted a certificate of typical rural industrial products by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee along with the award. They are allowed to print or label the logo of the typical rural industrial product voting program on the product or packaging of the recognized product within the validity period of the certificate. In addition, they will be provided with information, advice and guidance on accessing preferential policies and support from the State or advice on establishing investment projects to expand production and develop typical rural industrial products. Along with that, they will be given priority in considering support from the national and local industrial promotion and trade promotion funds for vocational training, vocational training, business strategy development, technology transfer and application of scientific and technical advances in product production...
