The 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Binh Duong province, term 2024-2029, took place on August 27, 2024.
Also attending were former President Nguyen Minh Triet and leaders of Binh Duong province.
Thoroughly resolve people's aspirations
Speaking at the Congress, Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh highly appreciated the achievements that Binh Duong province has achieved in the past term. She said that these results had positive contributions from the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in Binh Duong province.
“The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has done a good job of uniting, gathering and promoting, arousing the aspirations and efforts of all classes of people to contribute to building their homeland. At the same time, the Front has also effectively performed its role as a bridge between the Party, the government and the people, creating consensus and companionship between the people and the government in building and developing the province,” the Vice Chairman emphasized.
Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Anh suggested that the Fatherland Front of Binh Duong province continue to closely follow the Party's viewpoints and policies, especially the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels, the Resolution of the 13th Party Central Committee on "Continuing to promote the tradition and strength of great national unity"; synchronously and effectively deploy 7 groups of solutions identified in the Resolution, suitable to the specific conditions of Binh Duong province.
In addition, the Provincial Front actively gathers all classes and social strata in the province, Binh Duong people abroad, arouses the patriotism and trust of the people to contribute to realizing the aspirations and goals of the province by 2030, Binh Duong becomes a modern industrial center, by 2045 is a smart city of the region and the whole country.
The Front needs to focus on the grassroots, reflecting the real and timely rhythm of social life. “Front cadres must be close to the people, listen to their opinions, collect their opinions and recommendations to promptly reflect them to the Party Committee, and coordinate with the government to thoroughly resolve the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of the people,” the Vice Chairman suggested.
Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Anh hopes that the Front will continue to focus on innovating content and methods of operation to be flexible and appropriate to meet the requirements of innovation.
“Strengthen coordination, preside over and negotiate unified actions among member organizations. Pay attention to training and fostering a contingent of Front officials with qualities, capacity, courage and prestige, regularly improve the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the direction of expanding membership and ensuring quality,” said the Vice Chairman.
The result of many generations
After more than 27 years of construction and development, from a purely agricultural province with very difficult socio-economic conditions, Binh Duong has been striving to become a locality with developed industry.
Currently, the province's economic scale reaches 500 trillion VND, ranking 3rd in the country after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. The average income per capita is nearly double the national average.
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi shared that the above results are the inheritance and promotion of achievements of many previous terms, created from the process of persistent and continuous efforts and struggles of many generations of leaders, the entire political system, the business community and all classes of people in the province. In which there are very important contributions from the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province.
During the past term, the Front has united, gathered forces and built national solidarity not only through propaganda work and organizational development, but also through many emulation movements.
Typical of these is the coordination with the government to implement more than 22 policies at the grassroots level, spending more than 2 trillion VND each year to support grassroots officials and social policy beneficiaries in the whole province.
“Without the participation of the great national unity bloc, Binh Duong would not have developed as it is today, would never have had tens of thousands of hectares of land to develop industry, urban areas, services, develop transport infrastructure, cultural infrastructure, education, health care... and there are many jobs, contributions of all classes of people in all areas of social life that we cannot count,” Mr. Loi acknowledged.
The Congress elected 95 members to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong province for the 2024-2029 term. Mr. Nguyen Van Danh was re-elected by the Congress as Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province for the new term.
