Construction and repair of 145 houses to support people with meritorious services started

Implementing the Project to support people with revolutionary contributions and martyrs' relatives with housing in the province in 2025 (approved by the Provincial People's Committee), the whole province has started construction and repair of 145 houses (new construction: 48 houses, repair: 97 houses); 87 households requested to withdraw but did not implement or did not meet the support conditions through local review.

According to the Department of Construction, the whole province has 386 houses supported under the approved project; of which, 104 houses were newly built and 282 houses were repaired. The People's Committees of districts, towns and cities have directed the People's Committees of communes, wards and towns to deploy and organize the implementation of the contents. Some households have proactively spent their own money and mobilized other resources to start construction to ensure the set progress. Some families have to wait for the support capital from the central government and the province to be allocated to their families before implementing. At the same time, during the implementation process, the project encountered some difficulties and problems, such as: many households who previously applied for repairs now apply to build new houses, due to severe deterioration; some households who previously applied for new construction now apply to repair, due to lack of counterpart funds or no need to build new houses; some households requested to withdraw from the project and not continue to build houses, due to objective conditions...
