Construction begins on the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot expressway.

(NLĐO) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is expected to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project.

On January 31st (the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year), in an interview with a reporter from the Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper, Mr. Vo Anh Tuan, Chief of the Office of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, said that according to the plan, tomorrow (the 4th day of the Lunar New Year), the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project will be held, and decisions approving investment policies and investment certificates will be awarded to a series of projects with "huge" investment capital.

The groundbreaking ceremony is expected to be held in the Cai Stream area, Tan Uyen City, Binh Duong Province, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend this important event.

Earlier, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conducted a survey of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway in Phu Giao district, Binh Duong province.

According to a decision by the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, the consortium comprising the Industrial Investment and Development Corporation (Becamex IDC), Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company (Becamex IJC), Becamex Binh Phuoc Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company, and Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company has been approved as the winning bidder for the construction of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway under the public-private partnership (PPP) and build-operate-transfer (BOT) model.

Specifically, the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway has a total investment of over 8,833 billion VND from equity capital, borrowed capital, and other legally mobilized capital (including interest on loans).

The commencement date for construction, infrastructure system, and the construction period for the works and infrastructure system is 36 months from the effective date of the contract.

The Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway passes through Cai stream (Tan Uyen City).

The operating and business period for the infrastructure project and system is 32 years and 5 months from the date the competent authority approves the investor to collect road usage fees.

The Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway has a total length of over 52 km, starting from Ring Road 3 (the section coinciding with My Phuoc Tan Van road in An Phu ward, Thuan An city, Binh Duong province) and ending at Km52+159 at the border between Bau Bang district (Binh Duong province) and Chon Thanh town (Binh Phuoc province).

The expressway route passes through the districts of Binh Duong province, including Thuan An City, Tan Uyen City, Bac Tan Uyen District, Phu Giao District, and Bau Bang District. It will have 4 lanes, with a continuous emergency stopping lane along the entire route, and a design speed of 100 km/h…

The Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway has a section that overlaps with provincial road DT.743 (from Thuan An City) and provincial road DT.747 (to Khanh Van bridge, Tan Uyen City) for a length of approximately 6.5 km.
