Commencement of the project to restore and embellish the historical relic of Van Luong Temple

On November 10, at Van Luong Temple (Zone 7, Van Phu Ward, Viet Tri City), Van Phu Ward People's Committee coordinated with the construction unit to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the project to restore and embellish the historical relic of Van Luong Temple.

Van Luong Temple is a national historical relic worshiping the Hung Kings, part of the Hung Temple relic complex, a place to worship the spirits of the Hung Kings, worship the three Great Kings: Cao Son Dai Vuong, At Son Dai Vuong, Vien Son Dai Vuong; worship Duc Tan Vien Son Thanh; worship the two Thanh Hoang of the village.

The temple was recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a national cultural heritage for art and architecture in 2009; Van Luong Temple Festival - Cotton Robbing and Fishing Throwing Festival was recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2022.

Having gone through many historical ups and downs, the temple has now seriously degraded. Realizing the urgency of renovating, embellishing and repairing the temple, ensuring the organization of community activities of the People, on September 20, 2023, the People's Committee of Viet Tri City approved the project "Renovating and embellishing the historical relic of Van Luong Temple, Van Phu Ward, Viet Tri City" in Decision No. 3473/QD-UBND.

The project is invested by the People's Committee of Van Phu Ward, with a total construction cost of more than 9.7 billion VND from the State budget, socialized capital and other legally mobilized sources, including the following renovation items: Management Board House, temple, kitchen, side gate, shrine, garden system, fence. The project implementation period is from 2023 to 2026.

The project to restore and embellish the historical relic of Van Luong Temple is an important event in preserving, maintaining and conserving historical and cultural values, cultural values ​​of worshiping Hung Kings, thereby meeting the religious needs of the people and tourists from all over the world.

The project to restore and embellish the historical relic of Van Luong Temple is invested by the People's Committee of Van Phu Ward, with a total construction cost of more than 9.7 billion VND.
