Commencement of emergency landslide prevention project in residential area of groups 13, 14, 15, Pom Han ward

On the afternoon of April 11, the Lao Cai City Construction Investment Project Management Board organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the emergency landslide prevention project for residential areas of groups 13, 14, 15 along 23/9 Street (Pom Han Ward, Lao Cai City) according to the Order to build an emergency landslide prevention project for residential areas of groups 13, 14, 15 along 23/9 Street.

The investor and construction supervisor of the project is the Lao Cai City Construction Investment Project Management Board; the design consultant is the Joint Venture of the University of Transport Consulting and Construction LLC and Lao Cai Transport Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company; the construction contractor is the Minh Duc - Neo Viet Joint Venture.

The project will be constructed over a period of 4 months and is expected to be completed in August 2025; the investment is approximately 50 billion VND (including site clearance costs). This is a project that is both designed and constructed. During the construction process, surveys will continue to be conducted to select the most optimal and effective solution. The construction unit will also apply the most advanced and modern technical methods and solutions to carry out the project.

The construction unit will mobilize maximum human resources, materials and means to speed up construction progress.

The construction unit deployed "3 shifts, 4 crews", mobilizing vehicles, human resources and materials to speed up the project's progress in order to put it into use as planned, contributing to ensuring the safety of life, property and stabilizing the lives of local people.

Previously, due to the circulation of storm No. 3 in 2024, the traffic route in groups 13, 14, 15 in Pom Han ward was seriously eroded and damaged, affecting many houses. Lao Cai City urgently moved households to safety. The Standing Committee of Lao Cai City Party Committee also organized a dialogue with households in Pom Han ward affected by natural disasters to listen to and respond to people's opinions, creating consensus in implementing the construction of anti-erosion embankment projects.
