Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Group (TKV) has sent a document to the People's Committee of Dak Nong province requesting to implement the project to expand and increase the capacity of Nhan Co Alumina Plant. Accordingly, TKV plans to invest nearly 30,000 billion VND in the second alumina production line of Nhan Co Alumina Plant, with a capacity of 1.2 million tons/year. The total land area serving the project is nearly 700 hectares, of which the factory construction area of about 100 hectares is located within the current alumina plant; the rest is auxiliary items, works to serve, maintain production, and protect the environment. The finished products of the project include alumina and hydrate. The project implementation period is from 2025-2030. Estimated export revenue is about 10,700 billion VND/year; Net profit (before tax, excluding depreciation and interest) is more than 4,400 billion VND/year; taxes and fees paid to the local budget are about 700 billion VND/year.
100% OF MEDICAL EXAMINATION AND TREATMENT FACILITIES IN GIA LAI MAKE CASHLESS PAYMENT
According to the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health, all 26 medical examination and treatment facilities have implemented cashless payment for medical services, reaching 100%. The units have coordinated with banks in the province to install cashless payment services in a simple form (not connected to HIS) through transactions linked to the POS intermediary system bank (ATM card swiping) when making payments since October 2019. As of mid-March 2025, the Gia Lai Department of Health has issued 416 interconnection codes to medical examination and treatment facilities (including hospitals, medical centers, commune health stations and private clinics); at the same time, issued 1,200 interconnection codes to prescribers who are doctors and uploaded data to the donthuocquocgia.vn system, contributing to the effective implementation of digital transformation, improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for people.
LAM DONG HAS MORE THAN 18.6 THOUSAND WORKERS IN CRAFT VILLAGES
Lam Dong Department of Agriculture and Environment said that there are 31 craft villages in the province, including 9 craft villages and 22 traditional craft villages. The Provincial People's Committee has recognized 21 craft villages, including 15 traditional craft villages and 6 craft villages. The whole province has 4,707 households in craft villages, with a total of 18,603 workers; the number of regular workers in recognized craft villages is more than 16,500 workers. In 2024, the total revenue in recognized craft villages and traditional craft villages will reach more than 675.7 billion VND; the average income of workers will reach 4.26 million VND/person/month. To date, 1 traditional craft and 14 traditional craft villages have been restored, preserved and supported for development; the whole province has 10 craft villages associated with tourism activities and festivals in the area; many craft villages have famous products and brands with great appeal.
ECONOMIC GROWTH IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2025 IN DAK LAK PROVINCE REACHES 6.5%
In the first quarter of 2025, Dak Lak province organized the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival and celebrated the 50th anniversary of Liberation Day, the number of tourists to the province increased sharply.
According to the assessment of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, in the first quarter of 2025, the province's economic growth rate reached 6.5%, higher than the proposed growth scenario; the scale of the economy continued to maintain good growth momentum.
Compared to the same period, total retail sales of goods and service revenue reached VND 29,174.8 billion, up 9.93%; state budget revenue in the province is estimated at VND 3,180 billion, up 47%, equal to 40.47% of the central budget estimate and 33.3% of the provincial People's Council's budget estimate.
Investment attraction has improved, agricultural, forestry and fishery production continues to develop steadily, prices of agricultural products such as coffee, pepper, rice, durian continue to remain high. Social security, poverty reduction, and the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses have been given attention and implemented promptly. KON TUM RESOLVED MORE THAN 87% OF CITIZEN COMPLAINTS AND DENUNCIATIONS
The total number of petitions under the authority of Kon Tum provincial departments and levels resolved in the first quarter of 2025 was 106/121 petitions, accounting for 87.6%, the number of petitions being resolved was 15/121 petitions.
Agencies and units in the province have received 15 complaints and denunciations from citizens, a decrease of 8 compared to the same period in 2024. The content of complaints mainly focused on the fields of land, compensation and site clearance; the content of denunciations focused on administrative acts of organizations and individuals in the province... Agencies and units have received 57 people coming to complain, denounce, make recommendations and reflect. Of which, 42 people were regularly received; 15 people were periodically and suddenly received by heads of agencies and units. Through citizen reception activities, agencies and units have integrated propaganda on legal regulations to raise people's awareness. Since then, people's awareness of law compliance has been increasingly improved, petitions and complaints have been significantly reduced, and violations of legal regulations on complaints and denunciations have been significantly reduced.
